Best game of the year to date? Maybe (I am obviously forgetting a lot of games, but this is gooood!)

I made a topic asking about this earlier, so could you maybe give some details? Is there enough content to justify a new purchase?

It is really fun. Aside from the direct gameplay itself, which I haven't fully experienced, there are a lot of neat things to do and collect. You start with 13 characters (one from each ff) and you get to make a party of four. They level up and learn new abilities and whatnot that deepen gameplay. Um.

I am just shocked that it is as deep as it is!

Great game, not game of the year though.

Xenoblade and FFXIII-2 both better in my books and Pokemon Conquest is looking very strong so far but haven't finished yet.

But this will for sure make my top ten of 2012

77 songs, 26 of which don't count, 12 of which you have to unlock and a whole bunch of DLC. The first difficulty you'll cruise through, and the second is much, much harder. There's at least one above that. RPG elements, collectible cards, stuff like that. The main attraction is the rhythm gameplay.

It was alright, but I wouldn't have paid 40 bucks for it. I had way more fun with EBA, and I don't see any drive to unlock things - skills are worthless and I've never used them since you get more points for not, so I feel like even though my party is level 70 who cares. Every difficulty besides Ultimate feels like a bore too I dunno.

The difficulties, Basic, Expert and Ultimate ...

basic is too easy, expert is just about right but can get tricky, ultimate is a nightmare and i am not that good yet.

Ultimate is fast when you're not expecting it, but when you actually try it once or twice it turns out to be a lot more of the same. I'd agree you should finish expert before delving into it though
