Booted up Chester yesterday. Was super excited to find all my save progress from the Desura version carried over! Did not expect that at all.

Also I am not very good at this game. Still a lot of fun though!

I just unlocked the mime. What does his special do?

Right now it does nothing! Going to make a few changes to him once I get Achievements finished up. Going to have him turn the screen completely black and white and ignore the elemental damage system. His special will super saturate the world and the elemental bonus will be multiplied during that time.
And on the topic of saves I'm hoping to get having multiple saves in in one of the next few patches.

Haha yeah, it's a bit wip right now and you may see some random unlocks. The actual achievement patch will take care of any odd ones being unlocked and reset them. Might get it up tonight in a partial state.

Sound test and those other slight bugs added to the 'fix it' list as well, thanks for the constant feedback!

Also after those changes get made he might become a favorite of mine. At least in situations where his arcing shots work.

hmmm, Any chance for a colorblind mode ? I have some color issues so can't see when certain types need to pass through the lasers for example. Green/yellow mostly

Well it was just the one place so far and I could just switch to a color I could see so wasn't a problem! really fun so far! :)

I'll add some sort of colorblind mode to list of things to try to get to. Thankfully the color lasers aren't used too often.

Desura saves might be bugged out, not 100% sure. Probably best to start fresh.
Achievements are live on the Test branch, still missing their art though. Hoping to speed through those today.

You should be able to enable it by right clicking Chester One in your library, choosing preferences, and then the Betas tab.

Good to hear!

The default build has been updated to the first Achievement build, along with a whole whole lot of placeholder Achievement icons.
Next update will take care of adding achievements you missed by already unlocking content (Styles mostly, and Chester's if you got one to level 5 already. Otherwise those should catch up on a level up.)

Also made a few small changes to earlier levels and the changes to the Mime Chester. Need to recreate the Sound Test menu so that'll probably be the next patch.

Bug ho!

Hitting escape on the Menu Screen correctly enters the Quit Game Menu, but then you can't return to the game - after hitting backspace the Quit Game Menu reopens.
Game crashes on Tutorialtastic as you approach the spikes and flamethrower near the end.

Not a bug:

The Key suggests the Options Menu is available on the D Key, but it's accessed through the O key instead.

endgame spoilers if you kill TBG form 1 in the air, form 2 starts in the air and them walks out of the battlefield

similarlyif they stomp onto the spikes area which is lower than the main platform, they can run out of the area too

Correction to game crash issue:

Game crashes when a bullet comes into contact with the flamethrower flame.

Also Chester's stopwatch. Probably a bunch of things. Could test them all, but I figure that you have enough information to squash whatever is causing it.

I think I've had issues with figuring out which part of Chegami's special is the sushi bomb part, either that or its not counting.

Same for Chesterworth's explosion.



And there's a chance that it's not counting my jumps, pretty sure I've jumped more than 30 times.

Yup, that sounds pretty broken for jumps! I'll take a look and make sure the Chegami special bullets are flagged correctly too.

Actual support for higher resolutions is on the way, no more rendering everything at 1280x720 and just rescalig it to fit your resolution. Aiming for this weekend for finishing this up.

Testing out new stuff is fun.

Soooo, that 'simple' higher resolution support ended up turning into a recoding of about 75% of the game. Bug fixes are going to be on hold until after this patch as chances are the buggy code was already replaced. Probably no new build this this weekend, but hoping to at least get a test build up by next weekend.
