So theoretically someone could advance despite having less points than someone else who was defeated? Like if both people in a match only get a bunch of +1s, the winner of that could still advance over a loser in a more "popular" match that ended up with a bunch of +2s and 3s?

i made it up, i'd always hated the 5 point split and went on quite a tirade about it making no sense to voluntarily only do part of a vote several times last year so i was intent on not using it but this round being straight 1v1s seemed a little dull so i came up with this so you still have something similar but the system forces you to choose which matches to give your full vote to. seemed like a nice compromise. only problem is it ends up a little similar to GP in practice.

Ctes Predicts While Watching Naruto Movies - Round 2 Edition

Welcome to round 2. Naruto's all grown up now in the filler movies, but he's still bad at being on time. Round 2 has 20 sets and two each day, which means 10 days total. I like my 3 at the time style. It's good pacing. Makes the predictions come close enough to the matches and consideres that I don't want to have this on my to do list every day. However, you can't divide 10 by 3 using integers only and we're not splitting sets or ever days up, so on this first day of the round, I will do 4 days worth of matches. That's 8 sets!!!

Round 2 is here and I'm apparently skipping it myself. And must I say these set names are good.

Set 1
GTM vs. Ulti
My Immortal vs. GuessMyUserName
PrinceKaro vs. SpikeDragon

I didn't think twice with any of these. This round is sorta easy in the sense that most matches have a clear favorite by seeding. There are exceptions, but not many. The format doesn't change much in that regard. I don't see any of these users losing.

Set 2
Paratroopa1 vs. WalkingWiki
foolmo vs. MysteriousStan
Robazoid vs. Team Rocket Elite

The first two are easy, but this one actually has a debated match in the third one. I guess the third ones will be that every now and then, which is great becase otherwise most of these will just be "the first three wins, next". I don't take enough upsets. Had all the seeds winning and while that was obviously true in most divisions, there was a handful in the lower middle that didn't and some of them wasn't close. I'll pick TRE.

Set 3
TheRock1525 vs. IhatethisCPU
scarletspeed7 vs. Jukkie
ProfitProphet vs. trdl23

This one however is a "the first three wins, next" set. I suppose trdl will do fine, but I don't see him winning it.

Set 4
Drakeryn (Gatarix) vs. Mr Lasastryke
mnkboy907 vs. Cody11533
Delsaban vs. The Raven 2 (ZeroSignal620)

Two surefire matches and one potentially good one again. I'll pick Raven to win it, see him around more around.

Great_Paul vs. Luis_Sera89
StifledSilence vs. Luster Soldier

At some point it'll bite Ermine to not be around much, but not yet. Paul should win that one too. Stifled vs. Luster is a good match. Luster believes it's good he didn't face another discord user. Not sure it is. Luster could take it on a board vote in such a case. I thought Stifled at first, but going with Luster. Antivoting will be a smaller thing this round, though still doable.

Pokewars vs. charmander6000

Prof winning is probably the only safe match here. I might've had Wedge eliminated last round and he apparently got third, but like the writer of Naruto, Kishimoto, I'll chose to not learn by my mistakes so fast and thus I pick SD to win it. Going with Pokewars in the third one. Charmander is probably the definition of a round 2 user.

Set 7
Wicklebee vs. CycloReaper (SimplyUnfair)
Stevie3V vs. MZero11
yoblazer(CaptainOfCrush) vs. Inviso

Wickle should win it, though Cyclo probably isn't that bad a 7 place. Stevie should too. Small upset probably, but I don't see it. Yoblazer with a name he used after 2006 is definitely winning that one.

Set 8
VeryInsane vs. vcharon
Johnbobb vs. mcflubbin
Jakyl25 vs. tazzyboyishere

I suppose charon will do better in round 2 than round 1, again with the less antivotes thing, but he's losing that one. Flubbin would've definitely beaten Johnbobb not many years ago, but I don't think he's around enough anymore. JaKyl vs. tazzy feels like a coin toss. Going with Jakyl winning it.

3-2 was mainly used in situations where you like both users almost equally.
