The twist: we hung out once last week and...it was fine, but I don't really want to continue into date-territory.


I think I'll be honest how I feel here, but let me run it by ya'll first: would you tell someone you don't feel the same way the same day they're fired? She's still a nice person I could see a movie with or something so I'll hate for her to have THIS bad of a day now too...but I don't wanna get myself trapped into something I don't want either.

She was also still in a probation period because she transferred into this job, evrn though she worked with the company something like nine years. I don't have any impressions she was a bad worker.

She's a recent divorcee that came onto me faster than I'm comfortable with at work, and I don't feel the same attraction or vibe toward her. I'm also a little mad co-workers found out about us last week and are calling it a date when we never had that conversation. In that way, she talks too much and I don't know if she was jumping to conclusions or if the co-workers were, but I don't like that talk at work.

We do have some common interests so that's cool -- I ain't trying to kick her out of my life, but it feels like a sensitive make-or-break moment. Maybe not, but it's a bad day for her and she said this today because she was fired, so...bah.

Just be honest. You're not interested. There is zero harm in telling her this.
