The highlight of last year's NFL season was during every Cowboys game when they scored a touchdown, they would show Romo on the sidelines looking sad.

Hell yeah it was

Legit though I completely understand Romo not wanting to play between last year and no other team in the NFL having a competent offensive line while needing a QB

I feel simultaneously good and bad for him. Happy he is able to move on to something other than a bad team so he won't get injured anymore, but sad that it had to end this way.

Same. His health should be his main concern at this point. Plus this allows him to still surround himself with the NFL and all that's going on so while he's walking away from playing he's still able to take part in his life's passion.

He deserved way more than what he got throughout his career. He had huge ups and huge downs, but was ultimately a franchise caliber QB imo.

Yeah and he won't be in a wheelchair when he's 60 now. Really can't hate on him for this.

I heard a rumor he might be replacing Phil Simms as Jim Nantz's #2 in football. That... might actually be a good thing, unless he turns out to be as insufferable as other Cowboys QBs turned color broadcasters.

Feels so bad. Could've been amazing on an even halfway competent team and then the Cowboys finally get their shit together and his body finally wears down and can't keep him on the field. And his entire career so many Cowboys fans blamed him for all of their failures

hey now Aikman is great

Moose is fine, too

I feel bad Romo never got to win anything as a Cowboy though. I always liked him.

Aikman is ok, but I'd really like to hear him work with somebody other than Buck before calling him anything else.

Aikman is horrendous. Hoping Romo is less so. Simms got a lot of hate but I like him because I'm a Giants fan.

The Eagles ran a double reverse pass for a TD last season and Simms said he saw that one coming after the play was over

Good move CBS booting Simms for Romo
