Eric Thames is pretty ridiculous

So I saw an article about Hunter Pence being on the new Bill Nye show and lots of Giants "fans" in the comments were saying how the team sucks and maybe he should stick to baseball. Aside from the fact that it was filmed last offseason, why do some people think famous people should only do what they're known for? Like it's somehow a crime to want to enjoy a day off. It would be like me saying, "Have you seen the sales of Taco Bell? Maybe you should stop watching Bill Nye and get back to making crunchwrap supremes".

This wasn't really directed at any of you. Just the collective stupid people that gather on the internet.

Bill Nye's Netflix show is pretty dumb. I feel like the only millennial who was never a fan of Nye. I like Black Science Man and Startalk, though.

Both are okay but I can't stand the cult of celebrity over them and how young people love to pat themselves on the back over how much they love those two. But Bill Nye especially is pretty much just a celebrity scientist. He only has a Bachelor's degree! At least Neil DeGrasse Tyson is an actual scientist, but he might be the more annoying one of the two

It's not as bad as Big Bang Theory suggests, but I think most scientists are probably annoying because they're not the kind of people that are easy to relate to.The nature of their work means they're going to be a bit out there.

I did read that article about Pokemon cards earlier. Most of the players are our age so it's not as looked down upon as I thought it would be.

The only other decent article I read was about certain basketball players lagging behind on defense and why they do it. It kind of trashes the defense of some of the top stars, so I enjoyed it. No link because I'm lazy and none of you would have read it anyway.

The most puzzling thing to me about The Big Bang Theory is that I know a lot of people who identify as geeks that like that shit. It's so awful

I saw an episode of that where a punchline was literally "I saw it on the internet" and the laugh track went bananas. Classic activity that only nerds do: read stuff on the internet.

I assume you've seen the Tidus laugh edits, but if you haven't, some of you might enjoy them since you are more familiar with Final Fantasy. I don't even like FF and I thought it was funny

Have any of you ever seen a psychologist/psychiatrist? I have to see one before my pain management doctor will increase my dose of medicine. He made it seem like newer regulations were forcing it on doctors and their patients.

I've got experience with psych doctors, but not for something like a dosage increase. It's just a little weird to me.

I'm guessing it's to make sure you're doing okay at your current levels and that you're not the type of person who's trying to game the system for more pain pills because you're a junkie.

It makes total sense to try to crack down on opioid abuse, but it seems like the prescribing doctor would be more able to make that kind of decision, since they know how to interpret medical imaging results and bloodwork and all that stuff.

Maybe it's a way to combat "pill mill" doctors by having a second medical professional involved in the process? But in that case, why wouldn't they just require a second doctor in the same same field of medicine? That'd be super fucking annoying, but I'd understand it. I've got some history that required psychiatrist visits, so I thought it was because of that, but my doctor said that isn't a factor in this case.

I don't know. I have no idea what to expect. I've got medical images and lab work to help prove my case, but is the psychologist going to understand the medical records? It gives a lot of power to the psychologist.

I'll say it. I don't think this is a real pitch. I believe you that Torii is dumb enough to say something like that, but I don't see how you could find a space between slider and cutter.

I've been to 2 for adhd pills. The first one seemed to think I was just some college kid who wanted pills, and he had me trial like 3 different drugs that weren't any good. I stopped taking them for like a year, and then went back and got hooked up with a new one. She basically gave me a choice of what I want to be prescribed. Once I asked if I could have my dosage upped before and she did it, no questions asked.

I have to schedule an appointment every 6 months because of drug restrictions or something. It's literally just small talk for a few minutes, then she asks me if everything is still good with the meds.

Wow someone sure is butthurt over their team losing. The thing about the NHL playoffs is there's always a chance to get an opponent that matches well against your's or a team that catches fire at the right time. And unlike the regular season where you face a different opponent every night, you face the same opponent for at least four straight games.
