Politically, Assad would benefit the least from this. Why would he gas his own people, days after the Trump administration said that the Syrian people are going to the ones that decide what to do with Assad? What do you think, does he have a point?

I remember a few years back, wasn't there a connection with the US giving Syrian rebels chemical gas?

This is one of the rare instances where im leaning towards false flag, the whole Syrian conflict has had murky agendas and fingerprints all over it. Its very hard to prove though, theres no lines connecting the dots, just a lot of dots.

Here's a Reuters report from March 20th about the Syria peace talks. There's some interesting info in the article like how they claim Assad has more power in the negotiations that previously, and also the main opposition has long insisted any peace deal must include Assad's departure from power. And I as mentioned above, that's recently no longer America's stance.

People who instantly jumped and started screaming it was Assad with no proof are lunatics.

apparently Trump first said hed work with Russia to get rid of ISIS.
then he said its up to the people to determine if Assad stays or goes.
then yesterday someone in the government said that Assad must go. Trump said hes changed his mind on Assad and condemned him.
