I feel like I haven't really been doing anything so far. Its mostly been cutscene after cutscene. Can't say I'm enjoying that aspect. Also the dialogue seems very off. Everyone speaks with a bunch of unnecessary pauses in between words.

I'm in Kilika Island right now, hoping it'll pick up soon.

If you don't like the story or cutscenes, play a different final fantasy or a different game. Not really going to change much so I wouldn't continue if you're not having fun

My fave was always four, and the ds remake does a good job and make it OK for people who need some thing that looks newer

9 is way better than 7.

Also I've been going through the FF games since last year. Started with 4, up to 10 now. I will see this game all the way through. I remember liking watching my brother play this when it came out so I'm hoping that will kinda come back to me...

you're right bout the weird pause thing, it's an older game what can you do. basically a trick you can do to help remedy that is to hit X after the character stops speaking. once you get the timing right it makes dialogue a bit more normal

One thing I kinda appreciate about this game is switching characters mid-battle, although I feel like it also makes it easier.

It's not really working very well. Mouth flaps are pretty bad in this game.

This Blitzball game is really fucking stacked against you. I was initially gonna keep resetting until I won but I have no desire now.

Great game. It's the best game in the series I've played although I've only played 8 up to that point so take that as you will.

I sure hope so. The beginning so far is comparable to FF7's for me, meaning I'm not liking it much so far. It wasn't until 10 hours in to FF7 that I started enjoying it. 6 hours in X so far.

The games post game is really good.


The game early on is really slow.

FFX is basically a movie. It's all cutscenes and story'". Those are the only things it "prides" itself on. If you don't like that, it won't get any better.

So the game definitely picked up after the blitzball tournament. Been doing many battles since then. Sin popped up again, fucked shit up and left. Seymour is totally not giving off evil vibes, especially with that hairdo/sarcasm. Lulu is my favorite character so far both in combat and story. Kimahri is my least favorite... in both combat and story.

Stopped for the day at another Trial.

I think part of the reason I liked FFX so much was because I spent like 16 hours to trudge through the main story line non-stop, then spent another 180 hours doing all the sidequests and maxing out all the characters (I.E., the stuff that is actually enjoyable). By the time I fought the final boss I could pretty much one-hit kill everything except that super strong optional boss.

the airship doesn't make a difference, all it does is give you the ability to go to more straight line paths.

Gran Pulse, in 13, is far more open than what the airship lets you do.

It has gotten a lot better though I'm still not a big fan of the linearity. I think the world and story is interesting, I like the characters for the most part even if some of their dialogue is a bit stiff and awkward. Gameplay is a bit too easy so far (I know FF in general is pretty easy but still). There should have been a penalty for switching in mid battle.

Just saw some of Jecth's memories. I liked watching them.

Wakka found out Rikku's an Al Bhed, he got really pissy. Wakka's been kinda annoying lately with his Yevon bullshit.

I fought Seymour, he actually beat me a couple of times. Wasn't expecting him to be that difficult especially with how easy the games been so far. Kinda annoying that you can't skip cutscenes, had to rewatch the one before the fight 3 times. I uh also wasn't expecting him to die already. Feels a bit early >_>

Ok yeah Wakka has moved down the list for me. I hate having to use him for aerial enemies cause his damage output is ass and he's being a real asshole with his "muh Yevon" shtick. Poor Rikku getting bullied out here.

Ugh that boss battle fucking ruined me. And it happens so late in the game that you can't really rage quit because you've already put in like 40 hours

I liked Wakka's arc, he came to terms with having to forsake his passion of blitzball, he dealt with his racism and by the end of the game, his damage becomes greater than Auron's and since he's faster and more agile, I just never swapped him out ever again. The only character I hated was Kimahri but only due to how useless he always was, I think I only swapped him in to cast Scan whatever it was called, and then sit him and forget all about his existence.

Personally, I consider FFX one of the most overrated games of all time. It does pick up near the end when there's actually some skill involved in the battles, though.

And there it is. The big reveal of what the pilgrimage really is. Nice scene but it would have made a bigger impact if the Al Bhed guy in the PA system shut the fuck up. Seriously it really did take away from it.

Got myself an airship now at least.

Fought Seymour Flux. Tough fight... Got wiped out 4 times. Hate that I can't skip cutscenes before a boss fight like this. Really hope this is the last I see of this guy.
