This isn't like MGS where they put in tons of plot details that only make sense if you play in release order. There are some minor references to events later on mainly in substories (that tend to be fairly obvious even if you don't know what they mean), but they definitely made the main story assuming that this could very well be your first Yakuza game.

And I think they really don't reference anything past 2 afaik.

Oh, I might have temporarily forgotten the things mentioned in the fortune teller substory, ie the most blatant case of this.

And as I was typing that I only somehow just then remembered the OBVIOUS example in the main story. But they do a great job of not telling you more than you need to know in case you haven't played that game yet.

A bit sooner than I expected! Word is that this basically feels like a mod/expansion pack for Y0 but I'm not going to complain about having more Yakuza to play! (Especially after how godly 0 was, holy shit what a game that was.)

Not to be greedy, but does the Amazon Prime 20% off not apply to games retailing below $60? Noticed the discount doesn't seem to apply here.
