Darksiders is Zelda in a 90s Dark Age of Comics aesthetic.

Darksiders is the mature Zelda game everyone always wanted and it had such great promise with the ending. Pity that it is unlikely to ever be capitalized upon. Darksiders 2 is good, but it's a prequel to Darksiders 1.

Legend of Kay should be renamed Legend of Okay (I'll be here all week). It was a highly forgettable if decent action game. I remember the voice acting to be atrocious, but that's a minor complaint in a game such as this.

Darksiders games are not must-plays but are certainly worth playing. They in essence similar but quite different. If you look at the download sizes, you will see that the first one is a lot larger. The original Darksiders went heavy into environmental detail and threw a lot of different things at you in an attempt to keep things fresh throughout. It's main character was a bit heavy to maneuver with and you had to be more methodical in how you attack. The sequel went the route of massive (relatively speaking) size and scope to help mask far less detailed environments and re-used assets. The main character from the sequel is fast and fluid and that goes for both combat and moving around in the world.

Despite having the more fun character and a soundtrack composed by Jesper Kyd, I slightly prefer the original due to it having a strong sense of identity.

I'm glad to hear you endorse the Destroy all Humans games. They were the chief reason why I bought the bundle last week.
