Unless they're delusional and suicidal? They have a large military but their tech is garbage, their soldiers look malnourished and weak as shit (They'd surrender after a few months), and they have zero to gain unless they have allies on their side.

I do not think China would risk alienating the west and the US by siding with NK on this conflict. They'd rather cut their losses IMO.

NK would absolutely lose this war but South Korea and Japan would suffer preventable casualties...

They are delusional, their head of state is a psychopath.

He killed his own brother with VX. No one in that country is playing with a full deck. They're megalomaniac maniacs, not to sound redundant.

There have to be some higher ups who aren't completely crazy and think this is a terrible idea.

One of two possibilities, IMO:

1. They're trying to coax someone into attacking them so China is forced to take their side, solidifying relations between the two.
2. They want to receive aid for cooperating, but in order for this to happen they first have to be seen as a real threat.

Maybe. Maybe they're so paranoid of each other and unsure that they'd all fall in line, for fear of banding together and risking a betrayal by supposed allies who still are loyal to Un. It'd be a certain death if a coup failed. It's why most dictatorships stay in power for as long as they do.

Probably, but they're either usually cowards, or only slightly sane for a time, and then if they get into power in the other guy's place, become just as bad if not worse, even though at first it seems like they would give some hope. Dictatorships just breed paranoia between themselves.

Have you watched the actual video of the agent killing the brother with VX at the airport? They just walked up to him very non-chalant, and the guy was dead within 10 minutes. You always need back up from the fellow higher ups to be able to pull off that kind of thing, which means the guys surrounding him pretty much have that same mentality.

The guy is not off from attacking Japan or South Korea at a moment's notice.

He's as dangerous and mentally unstable as you can get.

The government there does feed off of scare tactics, and so far they haven't done anything to show their real guns, but it doesn't take much to trigger them.

They'd condemn it sure, but it wouldn't be enough to go to war over

Yeah, I was just adding to your point. The way some of those around him think, is to try to get bonus points by urging him on, and thus they secure themselves in the process, and by doing so may get in his good graces for a little longer.

China has long moved away from their support for NK. To them, NK is just a money sink anyways. NK literally survives almost entirely from giveaways by China, UN, US, etc. I'm sure that was a bigger contribution to Trump making idiot decisions more than anything, considering NK hasn't done anything in a long while outside that funny assassination, and the probability of them actually starting the war themselves is extremely low. They've been doing the threatening thing and backing away with literally nothing happening for multiple decades.

It's amazing how comfy America is. Like we're so fucking far from any of these guys that unless you lived there like I did, you make these kinds of topics or decisions like Trump's

TC are you scared?

These kind of topic always make me laugh. Americans trying to reassure themselves, always having to point things out to try and downplay any threats with ignorance.

Or, usually, it's just an American being American. You know, all that "i love my country" weird shit.

More than half, but I suppose the margin of difference is so small (proportionate to the number of votes) it may as well be exactly half.

They'd surrender after a few months

That is a very dangerous assumption and probably wrong.

You have to remember these people have been completely brainwashed for several generations. It makes the propaganda from the fringes here in the USA look accurate. These people have been completely brainwashed into thinking the USA/others want to annihilate them and that their 'amazing' leaders are to be eternally thanked for protecting them.

Also, the damage they could do to South Korea is terrible, even without nuclear weapons. North Korea would lose, but the destruction would be horrendous.
