First she's offhandedly murdered by a tar monster.

Then time shits itself and her revived self learns that a goo-baby killed her, so she goes along with an earlier version of the Enterprise from the past so she can fight in a battle that corrects the course of history, thus giving her death meaning.

But it turns out she was captured by Romulans and is forced into becoming a concubine, presumably raped repeatedly for months/years.

This sexual abuse ends up impregnating her and she gives birth to a daughter that she genuinely loves. But then when Tasha tries to escape with her, it turns out that her daughter is so indoctrinated into Romulon society that she yells for help and gets her mother killed.
