He was normal in 1/2. Like a decade later he gained fourth years. Why did the foxdie kick in randomly? I kinda forgot the story Solidus look older earlier, in mgs2?

He was genetically altered that once he reaches a specific age his body would begin rapidly aging. Along with that he is infertile and his genetic material has detonator genes so it cannot be harvested to create more clones.

The only relevance Foxdie has to Snake's aging is that it's mutating because the environment with his body is rapidly changing, it's not the cause of his aging.

I always assumed that his aging was because he was the clone of a sixty-year-old man. So even as a newborn, his cells were sixty years old.

Solidus was the same age as Snake, in his 30s, and he looked like he was in his 60s. He aged far faster than Solid did, probably because he was the "perfect" clone of Big Boss.
