Starship Troopers doesn't need to be remade. Akira sounds like a trainwreck already, given that they are calling it "supernatural" in the description when the original was very, very cyberpunk. Escape From New York will completely bomb unless Carpenter does everything (and I mean everything) on it. American Psycho is really fucking weird to remake. The whole thing is so set in the time period that I don't really understand how they would update it. Modern yuppies, I guess? Heavy Metal is about the only one that lends itself to a remake, only if they try out some different stories instead of just the exact same ones. I'm pretty sure that something came out already under the Metal Hurlant title. Why reboot Daredevil? That is what the series is for. The Expendabelles makes sense, since Sly recently quit the original series. It better not be like those bullshit Transformer movies though. Highlander from one of the guys that did John Wick sounds sick. I like the idea of warriors that kill each other to get stronger. Maybe they can mix in different fighting styles this time. Interested in Escape from New York and Death Wish because of who they have attached to it. Should at least be movie rentals. Edit: Just saw the new trailer for The Mummy and idk....DAMN Gladiator got fat.
