CoolCly 04/16/17 2:05:15 AM #1:	what was the reaction to this movie? it seems like it bombed both critically and financially, so I had pretty low expectations and expected it to just be quick shallow introduction and then a CGI fuckfest like the Transformers movies despite a rocky start i grew to enjoy watching these screwed up teenagers figure themselves out though. i thought it was okay. it was like 90% about them with a bit of power rangers stuff thrown in at the end for a climax. it was more like Chronicle than Transformers, though far less dark. --- The batman villians all seem to be one big joke that batman refuses to laugh at - SantaRPG <cite>CoolCly posted [p:877287184] in go go powe... Mega Mana 04/16/17 2:18:52 AM #2:	It was quite good, and easily the best of the three Power Rangers theatrical releases. I really enjoyed what they they tried to do, especially considering it was basically the first episode of Power Rangers stretched out to two hours with a new generations of actors, filmmaking, ande audience to please. The actors were great for their roles. The zords and suits looked better in motion than the horrible stills (much like Nicolas Cage's Superman outfit. Go watch Death of Superman Lives!). I think my favorite aspect was how delayed the transformation was, which I know griped a lot of people. I liked that they had to earn their suits. It felt like Captain Planet. Once their powers combined, their emotions and empathy and solving their problems, they could call upon the power. Plus easter eggs like Mariner Bay.
