Every "vacation" he takes is paid for by us taxpayers and goes into his pockets. How is that at all right?

Wouldn't Trump lose money otherwise? I mean the SS does need to stay close to him so they've got to stay in the same hotel and probably just the next room over. I don't think the government can just not pay for a bunch of hotel rooms.

This wouldn't be as big of a deal if Trump stayed at a hotel he didn't own.

I mean, he is basically paying himself to take a vacation. He's making significantly more money by constantly going on vacation.

The conflict of interest is the concern. He profits from that location. Is every one who has to go with him also staying there for free? They're most likely not....and if you want to call them "business" trips then you'll have to assume there are other dignitaries going with him, who aren't paying the bill out of their own pockets....and that money goes right back to Trump.

Never mind the impropriety of treating his security as customers. He doesn't even offer them the perks a regular customer would get.

The SS should just buy 4wheeler and tear up his course instead of spending $35k in 3 months. What's he going to do, object?


Congressional Republicans will not start an investigation into anything he does, will derail or drag out anything that threatens to start one, and won't vote for impeachment if the subject were to ever come up.

Trump isn't the worst thing to happen to America this past election. The GOP taking over all three branches through gerrymandering and ensuring another thirty years of Supreme Court bullcrap is the worst thing that happened.

No it'd actually be cheaper if he stayed at the WH instead of going to his resort most weekends. Melania also needs to get into the WH. His adult children also need to stop traveling the world with the SS in tow to handle their fathers business.

He does it so he can bill the government for the SS and whatever staff he brings along. Plus I suspect he probably passes along bills for modifications and security enhancements.

Aside from all that their is the parallel but separate issue of the financial and logistical burden he and Melania place on their communities as they also incur costs by the police and cause traffic and general chaos when the roads get shut down.

The Coast Guard as well when he's in Mar-a-Lago. FAA when it comes to Trump Tower and the surrounding downtown airspace.

The whole thing just speaks to the general gives-zero-fucks attitude that family has about the rest of us. Honestly I doubt Trump would believe you if you tried to tell him that the president is meant to be a servant to the people.
