Do you think this 30 y/o Democrat can win?

Donald Trump is working overtime against Young Democrat, Jon Ossoff who is leading in the polls amonst 17 candidates, 12 of which are REPUBLICAN!!

He went on twitter to blast the young democrat to try and rally his base by describing him as "The super Liberal Democrat in the Georgia Congressioal [sic] race tomorrow wants to protect criminals, allow illegal immigration and raise taxes!"

Republicans are trying hard to prevent a massive upset in the special election to replace now Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price's seat. This seat is supposed to be a Safe Red District but Trump's imploding numbers may be a sign to come when it comes to the 2018 midterms

But Democrats, particularly WOMEN are rallying behind the young congressional staffer as he has raised over $8 million in fundraising.

Republicans are hoping to force a June runoff with the GOP's top candidate by keeping him below the 50% threshold. However, IF he wins with 50 or over, he will outright win the vote which is seeming highly likely.

Republican voters in the district gawked at the fundraising number as 66 y/o Republican Marty Aftewicz said "I don't care what party you're from. If the money's coming from outside the district, it's dirty"

65 y/o Barbara Oakley said "It gives me soe hope, even though Georgia is a heavily red state. I think Democrats got surprised by Trump in November and they're ready to work"

Karen Handel is the Republican favourite to try and stop Jon's possible upset as she said "Jon is being bankrolled by the most extreme liberals"

Jon is running on the anti-Trump wave that has built over the coming months as Trump's numbers keep sinking among voters. Should he win, this could be a sign of the blue wave making a return in even conservative states!!.

Do you think this 30 y/o Democrat can win in a heavily Conservative District? let's see what people think

He will probably win. Knowing the republicans the 12 republicans are all the same and the voterbase will be equally split on them, giving the Dems an edge if they rally behind one of the candidates.

If you don't get 50% or more in the state it is a runoff.

Ah okay, so it's just a built-in rule. Minimum of 50% to instant win or a runoff between the top two candidates. Thanks for the clarification.

Ossoff collected the majority of his money through out of state contributions, as the Democratic party desperately attempted to take a small step closer to parity with the Republican party within Congress. Ossoff's apparently massive support was due to the Democratic base collectively rallying behind this figure due to intense advertising. The Republican base's vote was largely split amongst many candidates, therefore each contender's share of the vote was comparatively small to Ossoff's. Now that Ossoff failed to win outright, he'll lose outright in the run off.

The Dems desperation is most detectable and repugnant when they have Samuel L Jackson selling out one of the most iconic moments in cinema history, and certainly a highlight of his own career, by having him flatly rehearse Pulp Fiction as an ominous call to arms for the Democratic party. Trump's begging; let me tell you...

Misleading OP is misleading.

If that's not what you meant perhaps reword your post next time so it can be understood.

Perhaps you should consider my actual criticism, that being:

instead of cherry picking my statement to fit your own narrative. This includes you falsifying my own words by quoting me as having ever stated

Each of your retorts are a fallacy, so I'll forego responding to you any further after this, since you lack the ability to form a credible argument.

The act of cherry picking a statement is not dependent on whether a statement is expressed in a grammatically correct sentence or not; however, not only is my statement, indeed, grammatical correct,

darkoj posted...

but it expresses nuanced thought in a technically proficient manner, replete with proper punctuation and dramatic emphasis. You'll likely gasp at another long, well punctuated, articulate, and grammatically correct sentence of mine (gasp, a semicolon!), but I delight in thoughtful expression and playful wittiness, so alas, my pleasure can be your bane.

You've truly actualized nearly all elements of poor argumentative skills in your exchange with me. It's surprising and sad. I'm not sure if you lack sufficient comprehension abilities, or if you are just a troll, but taking a look at your account, I'm dismayed to find that you are of age to vote, and are potentially casting ballots in spite of your reasoning deficiencies. Allow me to detail your errors, since it's clear that you struggle at critical analysis:

First, you misinterpret what I said and create a false narrative.

knivesX2004 posted...

Secondly, you selectively quote me to fit your false narrative, and completely fabricate a quote that you attribute to me, meanwhile ignoring the most relevant content of my statement.

knivesX2004 posted...

Lastly, being unable to logically defend your own assertions, you attempt to undermine the credibility of my argument by erroneously claiming it to be grammatically unsound, and therefore, implicitly invalid, which is logically unsound.

I'm just being friendly. You mentioned that you love something, in a sarcastic way I know, but I used it an opportunity to change course in our exchange. Love's what's life's made of. It's good to love love.

I do hold Pulp Fiction in high regard, and I am dismayed to hear it's riveting dialogue tarnished in partisan politics.

I did vote for Trump, yes, but no, I'm not a huge supporter. I didn't decide to cast my vote for him until I was standing at the ballot box considering the ridiculous candidates presented to us, and I chose the one who I thought offered the highest probability for change. I refuse to embrace the negative stigmas assigned to Trump by the media, just like I refrain from believing him to be the Savior of our nation like his ardent supporters seem to. I'm keeping an open mind to his presidency, and I encourage others to do the same.
