Shit. I didn't really grow up with the NES, so the NES Mini was like, "whatever" to me. However, if this happens, then I'm definitely going to have to get in on this, but if Nintendo handles this like they did the NES Mini, I'm gonna be in for a hard time.

Stupid. Just make a virtual console for the Switch already. The Mini console idea is cool, but I feel like it's taking away time they could be using to make their primary console better. Especially since the Mini console was such a flop the first time with how they managed it.

My faith in Nintendo will be at a major loss if they pull this limited quanitity bullshit again with the SNES under a hypothetical possibility this console will have the standard essentials like Super Metroid, DKC, Mario All Stars, Yoshi's Island, Chrono Trigger, TMNT IV, Sunset Riders, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Mega Man X 1-3, etc...

Not even gonna bother. Nintendo dropped the ball with the NES Mini ensuring that future shit from them is gonna have an even larger scalper demand.

It's a horrible environment they're fostering that just screws over the fans. Scalpers buy out everything if there's even a slight chance of profit, which just limits the supply even further even if they did make enough for just the fans. If they couldn't meet demand with the NES, what confidence does anyone have that they will with the SNES?

These games probably won't be it. Nintendo does not have the rights to Tetris. They would have to change the name of Tetris Attack to "Yoshi's Puzzle Challenge" or something similar. This is all considering that Nintendo doesn't try to make an agreement with the company that does have the rights to Tetris.

The NES mini is just a cool limited supply antique. Nintendo knows everyone who wants to play older games just use emulators. With how easy it is these days to emulate these days, taking the time to release virtual console games games doesn't generate enough profit. Hell, you can play N64 and PS1 games on a non jail broken iPhone perfectly. I understand a lot of people like to follow the law and don't believe in emulator nor support it, but i guarantee you these same people don't pay for their music downloads.

I don't get why people are all up in arms about Nintendo not adding everything to Virtual console or the gimmick behind the NES and SNES mini. Most people expect and knew the NES mini would just be a cool limited supply item that would have an insane resale value in the future on ebay. Just like a lot of things Nintendo has made and released. I bet most people who bought the NES mini didn't even take it out of the box.
