There seems to be this idea that if a guy or a female girl is unarmed, he cannot be a physical threat. Even if he is actively being violent.

I've never understood it. An unarmed guy can be brutal and lethal. Even if he doesn't kill you he can still seriously hurt people and do damage

It seems like every time in the news a guy attacks his girlfriend or breaks into a store or is attacking a cop people go "OMG he was unarmed and they used their nightsticks!" or "OMG he was unarmed and they roughed him up!"

There are cases of people being shot as they literally attempt to grab the gun from the smaller party's grasp while attacking them where people go "He is unarmed."


So as a PSA for CE that I want you to spread to the rest of the world like pigeons for me is this:

"Unarmed does not mean 'armless."

Get it? I think its clever.

If a 6'8, 240 pound guy punches you in the back of the head and then is choking you while shouting "You think you can fuck my wife and get away with it!? I'm going to fucking kill you bitch!"

And then you reach out and smack him with an iron-pipe or a knife, you're beating up an unarmed man. But you're in the right.


"Unarmed does not mean 'armless."

I don't know but I very much doubt it as most first-world countries don't have heavily armed police forces and civilians

And the few that do are low crime, like Switzerland.

The US' gun problems are pretty unique as a nation
