I know this generation hates anything cute, but I've seen some people talking bad about him and I never thought there was anything wrong with his character. Granted, I knew him from the Genesis games before he started talking. If he has a whiny voice or annoying personality, that's a bit different from being the silent vulpine Luigi of the 16-bit era.
