This begs the question, are purge victims covered by life insurance?

Also, couldn't everyone's accountants, banks, etc completely fuck them? Even if you just skimmed a little off the top, you could do it just during the purge.
Or is the premise even dumber and only "blue collar" crime is legal?

One of the whole points in the first movie was that they all purged the asshole selling anti-purge security stuff, that's all well and good but wouldn't everything have to be built around the idea the once a year people are going to at least attempt to break into it?

Does Walmart hire snipers to put on the roofs or are all Walmarts in that world built like bunkers?

I was so excited for the first movie. Then it turned out to be a home invasion movie with lots of "Shoot the bad guy at the last second" cliches. Second one was a little bit more of what I wanted to see but it had problems.

Mainly the part about the government wanting to kill off the poor. Doesn't make any sense. If all crime is legal then why aren't these poor people ever seen robbing banks or anything? They just kill each other. Through the entire movie there was one guy who didn't wanna just kill everyone or sell people to be killed. It was the guy at the start of the purge who was gonna rape those girls. It seems like a LOT more of that would be going.

Apparently they are talking about making the series into a show. Can't say what I heard sounded good though. The director of the movies said he would wanna do it with multiple storylines going on at once and sometimes crossing paths. Also talked about filling it with flashbacks. Ugh.

That whole segment with the vengeful black woman that came to the convenience store with her posse was super clingy.

I feel that the 3rd movie was trying to send a measage. Each person/group was a metaphor for something. For example, the teenagers represenst how kids(Millenniums) are spoiled and think that everything should go their way.
