STG Deathbot 04/24/17 11:46:14 PM #1:	I honestly don't understand the hype this franchise has. They recently opened one in my town, I tried it, and haven't been back since. The buns were your typical Safeway sesame seed buns, they used Kraft American Singles, and the meat was just ok. Nothing spectacular and nothing that other places don't already do and for a lot less money. I was always led to believe after reading about them from places like Imgur and a few topics in the past on here that a small fry was a small brown bag filled to the brim was fries, but we got a small cup in a small bag and they just tossed a handful inside the bag - most of which didn't make it into the cup and just soaked the bag in oil. I'd like to understand why people go ape** for this place. The last time I asked this on a different forum, it devolved into a 4Chan-styled thread with people claiming I was some sort of McDonald's Nazi. I'd also like to point out that the Five Guys has already put the building up for commercial sale. The owner says they haven't turned a profit since they opened and are looking to get out before they lose everything. Agree, probs gonna get some INO in a little bit. I like Five Guys, my problem is they're are SLOW as hell (INO is worse but at least I'm in my car), they're expensive, sometimes the locations are dirty, and I personally don't like their fries. It's so great I'm pretty sure the only In-N-Out that is not insanely packed all the time is just a town over. It's just Wendy's with special sauce (which is mostly mayo anyway). I can only assume it's popular because of the "secret menu" (that's on their web page) and because it's regional so you get that "It's amazing I bet you're jealous" vibe from hyping it. Same with Whataburger Most fast food burgers are trash, at least 5 Guys has freshly made burgers with lots of toppings to choose from. I cringe everytime someone brings up In and Out or Whataburger. Even something like Chilis or Applebee's have way better burger. I had Whataburger a few months ago for the first time due to people hyping it up. That burger tasted so cheaply made that I'll never go back. Don't know what people were thinking when they said the burgers are fantastic. It's a Texas pride thing. Same goes for HEB and the people who hype that.
