Going on a year and a few months, and she's my muse, my support system, my best friend(We tease eachother about stupid shit.), the love of my life really. All this coming out of dating a girl at work when I've been told, that you never shit where you eat. That it could end horribly. Anyone have a story like this? I need some kind positive things going as it's been a bad week.

I tried once. Then she set me up with her sister and now her sister is my fiance.

Right around the same time we started dating my supervisors daughter was brought in for a temporary gig. We hit it off pretty well and hung out outside of work but I was not gonna boink the bosses daughter.

I ended up marrying her.

Shortly after being married we stopped working in the same location.

Shortly after that we both work for totally different companies.

Its going pretty good.

Stay hopeful. There will be rough spots. It's been over a year though you should be able to figure things out

So basically, your experience is the OPPOSITE of what others have told you? Like when I first started with this girl. I felt on cloud 9, and still do at times.

I'm sorry. But hopefully you found happiness, some place else, correct?

Yeah, it's all good though, this year has been about rekindling the fire in my belly so I stop making 16 year old KILBOTz disappointed in current me. Looking to make a career change and I talked with some exes to help understand why I suck so I'm working that shit too. I'm a man with a plan at least.

Well, I'm glad that you're working on it at least. I've never been sucky at relationships, but I guess its cause I grew up around a father that showed me how to treat women at a early age.

At first I kinda wanted to date a girl I work with, but decided against pursuing. Now very glad I made that call. We wouldn't have worked at all.

I was one of the bad examples where it went completely south and was awkward and uncomfortable for everyone involved. Tons of nasty gossip and people picking sides, etc. Then of course I ended up leaving the job, it wasn't worth it.

No reason it has to be like that. Work is a natural place to meet and get closer to people, like school was when you were growing up. There's a chance you can find the right person there and last a really long time (if not forever).

When shit hits the fan though, look out. Imagine the worst break-up you've ever personally experienced or witnessed. Then imagine that all playing out publicly in front of an audience of your peers and co-workers. Then still having to see that person all the time and the dark atmosphere surrounding the place when you go into work every day. I don't know if I could try dating someone at a place I considered my "forever job." It doesn't seem worth it after what I've been through.

That's great! People always say not to date co-workers, but I think it just depends on the two people. Like, if you have great chemistry and are both attracted to each other fuck it. Take a chance.

We do. We tease eachother like best friends, we argue like husband and wife, we are sweet on eachother like newly weds.
