I've had the same GMail address since I started using Gmail in the mid 2000s.

why don't you just set up everything sent to your old email to be auto-forwarded to the new one.

Why? Lame name? Eh, I'm ok with what it was overall, but I wanted to have my name in the username instead. By the time I made my gmail account, the first initial last name format was already taken, so I settled on something else entirely. Never went back and tried to make another one until today. --- ... I got my gmail address from a Gamefaqs user, back when it was invite only, and right before "Gmail" became a banned word on here. I'd hate to try and transfer everything over to a new account.

im pretty sure you can just setup your old address to forward everything to your new one, so you don't have to correct your email everywhere.

I did it backwards and created a new email with my name, set up so that it sends everything to my old account.
