I'm a bit rusty on my lore, but didn't Frostmorne technically suck out his soul so that his body had decayed (hence the 'Death Knight' appearance in the WC3 Undead campaign), but he kept his will because he's Arthas fuck you? I mean technically his soul's still in the sword or whatever but isn't the body technically dead without Frostmorne?

Can confirm I never liked them. I have lots of experience with minionmancer/zoo teams, having ran one. They tend to scare people off because there's too many 'who's around. Rose and Jack compound this problem a billion times on top of also leading to kinda degenerate paydown gameplay. There's some mercs I would have nerfed or tweaked if I didn't want to see the draft format at work first, but Rose and Jack are one of very few where I felt like I had to just take them away , because their presence could damage the game by reducing votals significantly for relevant matches.

Also: Boko has told me he can't make it on monday for group 2's first half draft. Anyone else who can't? We have until tomorrow to decide a date if lots of people will be missing the draft on Mon for group 2. I want to emphasize though, that both halves of the draft have to be done by the end of next week because otherwise we'll have more delays or a shortened wartime for Week 1. So please, please answer quickly so I can reach a decision on what the best possible date and time for the draft is or I'll just have to set them arbitrarily.

@FFDragon The Executive Training Facility that acts as Wesker's terrain includes everything up to the first Proto Tyrant bossfight, right? Just confirming with someone who knows RE properly because the 'chemical plant' name used on the writeup doesn't show up anywhere, but 'Treatment Plant' does.

The ETF is actually a mapping nightmare that doesn't make logistical sense when you try and actually plot out how everything is supposed to fit together.

It's held together by what fans have dubbed the 'magic elevator.'

Floors 1-3 all take you to various parts of the ETF or labs (with 3 being the first T-001 fight). Floor 4 takes you to the Treatment/Chemical plant.

Prospective tweaks to terrain for the first half draft picks. Most of them are pretty much exactly the same except for the Castlevania terrains - a layout has been specified for each. While this does sacrifice a bit of 'shifting terrain' uniqueness (which I regret), getting the voters on the same page on what the terrain looks like is a net gain overall, since it's possible to argue more specific ambushes for example, and it means voters can communicate with each other about whether they buy arguments or not without it delving into headcanons. If anyone has any criticisms or questions, please let me know.

Only one I raise objections to is Bubbly Clouds. I think 2D platformer 'environments' should probably just be the environment in a standardized, say, '100 meters apart' kind of deal. Otherwise you have various Warp Star bullshit in between the start of the stage and the Kracko fight.

Can I get an alternative writeup example? Kirby distances are fucky so I'm not opposed to tweaks, but I'd like to see it for myself. I specified KSSU for consistency with the rest of the Kirbster's model, but if it causes a disruption I'm fine with something else.

(Also, followup on Castlevanias: I think the push for consistency is important, and matches what happens with the standardized attacker/defender locations. In that sense, I think Alucard's terrain is good. That said, I can see Dracula's getting further tweaks, because his uses a non-metroidvania game as a base and people might argue it's much smaller off that. Thoughts everyone? If not Rondo, what game would you suggest?)
