Well honestly it was kinda weird cause it was always an ambiguous terrain in that way.

You're kinda changing it whichever way you do it-- I THINK most people interpreted it that way in m4 though due to the write-up not referencing the castle at all but I do remember some people discussing the castle and stuff once in a while.

It's just the one that I recall. Maybe you're thinking of Chapter 6 (which is an entirely different stage and I think also happens at Barious)

Also paging @KJH because I need some help with Elma and we may as well get all corrections done in one go. Her ability can start teams in multiple continents, and my knowledge of Xenoblade X is kinda tenuous. Are there any decent starting points you'd recommend for each continent? I can manage it myself, but it'll take lots of youtubing and I could use the word of a specialist.

Mira has had starting positions added per continent, big thanks to KJH for being a total bro with this! Bubbly Clouds has been remade to be about, well, bubbly clouds. It should now be a clearer terrain. Next post, new rulings! Post after that, draft explanation and tier bids!

Round Robin Order:

On the first week, teams will face each other like so, based on their place in the pick order:

1-5
2-6
3-7
4-8

Each week thereafter for the next three weeks, the 'second side' (AKA players 5 to 8) will rotate up one slot to determine who'll fight who. Thus, week 2's schedule will look like this:

1-6
2-7
3-8
4-5

And so on and so forth. On the fifth week, the following arrangements will occur instead:

1-4
2-3

5-8
6-7

(separated for convenience, see the explanation below)

Thereafter, the three lowest picks in each fourpack will rotate slots counter-clockwise to determine the matches each week. Thus, the first group of four's last two matches would be:

1-3
2-4 (really 4-2 but for convenience listed like so)

1-2
3-4

This way, you'll face the opponent with the most similar spot in the draft to you in the final week. This might be a bit confusingly worded, as I'm a but hurried, but I will gladly answer any questions you might have, so just ask and I'll get to them in a little while.

Before week 1, attacker/defender status will be randomized. Whoever is selected will choose whether to attack and defend after tier bids are done (not before!), and be treated as the 'higher seed' for the purpose of tier bid ties, as per the playoffs rules of Mercs 4. Afterward, we will determine 'higher seeds' by win record, or in the event players facing each other are tied in Wins/Losses, once again by randomizing. Higher seeds get a +3 GP bonus to their tier bid, and win ties. You will have the first 12 hours of Results (which will go up at 9 PM EST on Sunday, so from 9 PM SUN to 9 AM MON) to post a tier bid publically or PM it to the admins (these bids cost GP! They aren't free like the ones to see who went where in the draft were!). Afterwards, the admins will unveil the bids and announce the tier each battle will take place in. It is at that point that the 'higher seed' can choose whether to be the defender or attacker.

...And that's all! If you have any questions, just ask folks. But this part should be pretty simple - you have tier bids, terrain bids, and paydown costs to consider when deciding how you'll spend your GP. You'll have 20 GP to spend for week 1 (including the tier bids for it! They're not separate from the week itself even though they come after). Manage your finances wisely!

Nothing much to be done for it, Tom, sorry. There's just no more time and 'two people miss chunks of it but are there for the rest' is the best thing we could find. Only thing we can do is move a draft to saturday and it causes people to miss it outright instead of being delayed. I'll allow a proxy + list if you need it.

I've got the go-ahead from the creator of https://www.lp.zone/ so I'm hoping to get things at least somewhat in order pretty soon. Builds will obviously be the biggest hurdle, but I think figuring out which characters definitely want to be used will help a lot.

I am 7th. So I would be 930:935 right? I might be back by then I guess. I dunno. Literally tell them anytime but like 5 diff 1 hour windows during the week and they set it for one of those exact windows haha

What I'd do is make as many picks as you can, then send a list to Kanzaris based on what's still on the board when you head to work. Probably only two picks go off during your drive to work so a list becomes viable. 12 conditions to get the two picks you want should be doable.
