I know some shoes are designed to be worn without socks, but I'm not talking about those. When I'm on the subway I see a shit ton of people wearing shoes with no socks. That's gross, uncomfortable, and weird. Why do so many people do that?

They may be wearing those really shallow socks that only cover their toes and the soles of their feet. Most athletic socks leave this slip of mismatched fabric that I'd rather hide. Most days it looks like I'm not wearing socks I actually am. If you see my socks they're usually coordinated with the rest of my outfit and I want you to see them.

I hate socks. I only wear them because I can't wear shoes without socks. I hate shoes too, though, but you just can't not wear them because the ground hates feet. It sucks.
