DevsBro 05/01/17 10:19:27 AM #2:	I suppose they fell from popularity over what to me was a pretty unfair insistence that they were all the same, and when they tried to become different in response, they started sucking. I do remember hearing that argument a lot back in the PS2 days, but really each game had something major that set it apart gameplay-wise even in addition to new levels, new skaters, all that good stuff. 2 had manuals, dynamic levels and the "big drop" mechanic. 3 had reverts, double/triple flips and expanded flatlanding. 4 gave every trick (except specials) a tweak but in fairness otherwise didn't do much new stuff. Underground started pushing it with the cars and stuff but I did like the ability to get off the board... if only story mode didn't have those terrible platforming sections.
