They're both good. Cat6's max speed is 10Gbps (over a shorter distance), and Cat5e's max speed is 1Gbps. Cat6 is also compatible with the new multigigabit standards of 2.5 and 5 Gbps.

If it's a run through your house or something difficult, go with 6. Last you a lot longer with newer tech. If it's just a short, easily replaceable or temp run, 5e is fine.
