Initially, I had major doubts about the Nintendo Switch. After watching some videos of Breath of the Wild and hearing co-workers talk about it, I decided to buy one.

I've never been interested in the Legend of Zelda series. The first Zelda game I played was Twilight Princess, and I only played it for a few minutes before losing interest. Breath of the Wild had me hooked immediately, and it's one of the best games I've ever played. I haven't played a game that much in single sessions in ages, let alone across multiple sessions.

I also had doubts about the portable modes of the system. Proven wrong on this front, too. Being able to take the system with me and play games on the go is freaking great. I've used this feature a bunch of times already. Doctor's office, DMV, lunch breaks at work, etc. Being able to just play wherever and whenever is pretty awesome, and it works really well.

I've got two sets of joy-cons, and both of them have that wireless disconnect issue with the left one. So I've gotta send them in to get them fixed, but... Other than that, I am definitely a happy Switch owner.

How much did Nintendo pay you to say that the Nintendo Switch is good?

None. I never understood this assertion people try to make that you have to be on a company's payroll to say nice things about them or their products.

I have BotW on the Wii U, and I have found myself doing the same thing. I have sat for longer sessions with this game than any other game, since I was single and able to play how much/whenever I wanted. Since we got it, between my son, two of his friends that have a profile and myself, that game is getting played a lot.

I'm considering a Switch soon too. My kids birthdays are in July and August so I think about a joint birthday gift with a Switch. I won't ever use the mobile aspect of it, but my kids will. Hell they'll play BotW on the gamepad by choice! Peasants lol

If Nintendo had waited around a month or so to release BotW on Wii U I probably would have gotten a Switch, but as it stands now I'm still taking a wait and see approach. If they have a good E3 showing and sales are still looking strong by the time SMO comes out I'll definitely get one.
