D: Vegas is overrated as hell

People are a lot more friendly too IMO. It's like comparing Panama City to Destin. If you're specifically there for mostly gambling, that can be accomplished in plenty of other cities---many closer to most people than they realize without the plane ticket expenses. If you're interested in a city environment with shows, clubs, flashy lights, night life, plenty of places to roam, etc. then Vegas is certainly worthwhile. But if you're going there on an extreme budget you might as well be a sheep herded by a sheep dog. Also, after partying for days it can get tiring. However, I don't really drink or gamble, and yet I still love Vegas. I would expect a wait of at least an hour for each one but they're both worth it The cool thing about the Wynn is for extra 10 or 15 bucks you can cut the line, and they give each person a free glass of champagne or other alcoholic beverage. Vegas is a little overrated right now but only because of all the new resort fees that have popped up the last few years. I just booked a trip for the start of the WSOP in June and have to pay a $38 resort fee each day. It isn't just because I'm staying somewhere nice. Even shittier places like the Mirage or Treasure Island have $35+ resort fees. So you pay the nightly price and then get forced to pay $40 extra each day. Only going to get worse when they realize how bad of a deal that stupid stadium was. As casinos have spread, Vegas has done a good job of establishing other things to do and that is why Vegas is worth going to. The food, strippers, clubs, pools, restaurants and variety of places to go all make it a unique place that is worth doing a weekend every once in a while.
