I accidentally set 2001 winner in the Guru stats (but its gonna win anyway), all other stats, including elims are up to date

So I see two problems with the guru site.

One, it for some reason updated early today to assume 2001 won but hasn't done so yet for 2008. I assume the former was an accident? I feel like we should have learned from Draven and Undertale that it ain't over till it's over.

1. How do eliminations work (how can someone be eliminated by someone else)
2. Before the contest I had 9 risks and now I have 10. Does it update based on the performance of my picks thus far in the contest?

You're eliminated if it's mathematically impossible for you to win. e.g. there's at least one bracket with the exact picks as you going forward and that bracket has more points than you.

No, that just means more brackets were entered and the consensus changed on a match

You're eliminated if someone has a strictly better bracket than you (i.e. they beat you under every remaining permutation of the possible results)

you can also be eliminated even if no one person is guaranteed to beat you so long as every possibility puts someone ahead of you, though i'm not sure if that could even happen in a contest this simple. and if it could, it might be overlooked.

Its probably too late to say anything at this point but I noticed on the guru site it says I have 1985 picked as the winner of its match but I indeed have 1987 picked on my actual bracket. I'm supposed to still have everything correct.

I like how I (and several others) eliminate swirldude if I go 0/2 tomorrow, but I won't eliminate anyone if I get 2/2.

That's pretty difficult to have happen in round 1, anyway, and obviously it has to look down the road at the next match regardless.

Scenario:

Guru X votes for A>B, C>D, next round A>C
Guru Y votes for B>A, C>D, next round B>C
Guru Z votes for B>A, C>D, next round C>B

If the three gurus have identical brackets everywhere else moving forward, and Guru X is no more than 2 points ahead of Y and Z when the first match starts, he will be eliminated by a result of B>A because even though he will retain a 1 point lead going into the following round, either Y or Z will move ahead of him unless D wins the fourpack. Which means, curiously, that he will be eliminated on a match he gets right, rather than one he gets wrong.

I'd be really curious to see your algorithm, if you don't mind. As I've indicated in other posts, this is a mathematical puzzle I've always just wondered about from an academic perspective, so I'd love to see how you handled everything.

It's not commented too well, but it's primarily just using brute force to cover all cases.
