I hear some great things about it. The animated movie that kicked it off and the 5-6 episodes from season one I watched were all pretty bad though.

Movie is pretty lame, I agree. I'm not really sure where specifically I'd say the show started getting really good. I enjoyed most episodes. Maybe around the end of Season 1/beginning of Season 2 it starts really picking up. And then it gets better and better from there.

I'm a bit of an outlier on these shows. IMO Clone Wars and Rebels are mostly mediocre. They do have some gems in there and the people behind the shows can clearly create some great content but the majority of the time they don't.
The praise the shows get from fans seem to indicate it's Avatar level quality throughout but it really isn't. It's worth a watch if you want some Star Wars media but if you're just looking for a good show to watch I don't think I'd recommend it. --- "All will be well." ... Copied to Clipboard!

there's some good episodes here and there, but I think season 3 is when it's consistently good

The show is amazing but I prefered the 2D ones to the CGI. Still good though
