Halo Wars 2.

Huge Halo fan so I gotta have all the story there is, but fuuuuuck do I suck at RTS.

The first one was truly an RTS for beginners so I didn't have any problems with it. The second requires strategy beyond spamming a single unit type so I'm usually boned.

Same. I think I beat all the side ops too, but by the end, I hated the game. Its too bad because most of what's there is good, but the game is so clearly unfinished and lazily thrown together at a lot of points. I still think about what could've been sometimes.

Dragon Age II

After like 6 failed attempts to play through it, I finally decided I had to push through it for the story before Inquisition came out. Then Inquisition ended up being shit too, so it was all for nothing.

Demon Souls is probably the only one. I hated it so much but I still wanted to go through it.

I don't usually do that. Dark Souls, FFX-2, Far Cry Primal, Batman Arkham something... I try once or twice them just oh fuck it

Outlast and Alien Isolation and TLOU I'm salty about. I really wanted to like em but dealing with humans in all three is a major pain in the rectum and I quat relatively early. Not fun

I can never bring myself to "hate-play" a game.

Skyward Sword and Bioshock 2 are games I hated enough to quit.

MGS: PP - Great gameplay mechanics as far as moving, shooting, etc but the gameplay itself was boring and extremely repetitive. Barebones dialogue, shitty story. Great tech demo for the Fox Engine, obviously unfinished as a final product

Skyrim

Twilight Princess - Well made game, just boring as shit.

Dragon Age 2

Final Fantasy XIII - Nice song by Leona Lewis, nice graphics, shit storyline and boring gameplay.

Final Fantasy XV - I'm grinding through this right now, don't like it. I got Nier: Automata and Persona 5 on rotation right now.

Kingdom Hearts. From what I heard, I was about five minutes from the final boss when I just gave up, turned off the game, and never played it again.

Also, Tales of the Abyss. That game is awful. You spend about two thirds of the game endlessly backtracking between the same few locations, and the only likeable party member is Guy.

I know I was definitely hate-playing Wind Waker during that fucking Triforce shards part. That part alone is the reason I'll probably never replay Wind Waker....and that fucking sucks because it's a great game otherwise.

Phantasy Star Universe and Phantasy Star Online 2 story chapters. Like I was super addicted to PSO, but holy hell the attempts at story Sega was shitting out ever since have been terrible. I barely got into episode 4 of PSO2 before I just had to quit the game completely, lost all interest in ever playing again.

I tried to play Phantasy Star 2 but I couldn't even hate-play it. If Beyond the Beyond is actually worse than that, I dont see how that's possible.

I think every Mario Party game qualifies

Xenoblade Chronicles X

100% is a mistake. It's a mistake worth 150 hours (Though the other 150 is pretty decent). It's such a grindy game, you have to grind for upgrades so you can grind for upgrades so you can grind for upgrades so you can finally face certain Tyrants. It's so grindy that it even causes competitive Pokemon breeding to blush.

On top of the many quality of life issues, and the fact that having this diverse team of characters (half of which are bad and/or annoying characters) is utterly pointless, because you are better off on your own.

I blame it on the online components they shoved into the game.
