Alright, since we have admin agreement and a large chunk of the playerbase in favor...

We are officially changing the rules on tier bids to the system outlined on post #93, seen here: https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/8-gamefaqs-contests/75322431/878714320

Players have until 9 AM Tuesday EST (AKA, tomorrow at 9 AM) to send in their bids, or mail in new ones if they haven't done so already. You may adjust your bid if you wish to account for the changes in the system. We're moving forward now, so get ready to begin the game properly!

In the end, even if it was a bit hectic, I'm happy with the new rules. They're fairer and reward smart bidding. I trust everyone will find them satisfactory. Now all that remains is to see who comes out on top in the first week of skirmishes...!

Just to clarify, sorry for the dumb question, does higher seed mean better record and a lower seeding or literally the higher seed with a worse record

I feel like higher is used interchangeably to mean higher or lower depending on the speaker in regards to seeding sometimes.

Higher means 'has more wins'

in equal win scenarios 'higher' means 'was favored by the RNG to win ties'

I bid 8 on MID. Tiro's the rare team that's stacked in low. I think all the tiers are winnable but that's definitely the highest winrate I think.

Correction to the above: Boko sent his bid late, so it's a No Bid, which loses to Rocket's bid of 0 (as it actually exists). Send your bids early guys, deadlines are deadlines.

@redrocket_pub you can pick tier or attacker/defender now. Ignore what the post above says, I ran out of edits.

More generally, the clarification on 'no bids' has been posted in the rulings topic. This has already been said before, but it's handy to have everything in one place so players can consult.
