1)If you are fat, or female Lift weights if you only do cardio you will also loose a lot of muscle mass. being fat make you have more muscle mass than an untrained non fat individual just by virtue of moving around. If you don't lift weights you will end 'skinnyat'. If you can only do one ditch cardio and do weights

2) Eat at least 0.8 grams of protein per pound.

3) If you want to gain muscle eat around 15% more calories than usual, not more or you will end up gaining a lot of fat too

4) If you want to loose Fat eat 30% less calories dan usual TOPs. if you eat less your metabolism will slow down, you will become lazy and will loose a lot of muscle

5) Track your calories using fitday.com. Most people either eat 30% more or 30% less calories that their need

6) Cardio is not necessary but it helps, if you lack time skip cardio and lift no matter your goals

7) Check if you respond better to high carbs or high fat diets. Some people may find workouts too hard on high fat diets, some may get fatter and feel lazy whit high carbs diets even when consuming the same amount of calories due to insulin tolerance

9) Full body workouts 3 times a week are better for beginers, AKA 1st year or if your primary goal is strenght

10) Bodypart Splits with a lot of volume IE monday chest, Tuesday back is better for Steroids and hormone uses

11) Uper/lower split twice a week each is better for 90% of the population since you train each muscle twice a week

12) 1-5 rep ranges focuses on strength 6 to 10 balances strength and muscle growth, 11 to 15 focuses on muscle growth 15+ on endurance
