It happens. It toughens up when you do it often enough, though. Also you can get it cut which has the convenient side effect of letting you stick your tongue out farther.

The next time she brings it up immediately go into dramatics about how your tongue needs a stress-free, injury-free environment to perform. Make it sound like you're offended that she even thinks she has free access to the thing. It will perform when it's damn well ready.
