My girlfriend beat it on hard mode yesterday with the girl you unlock for having a certain amount of hearts. I suck at the game so I'm not sure if that's a big accomplishment.

Yeah, I feel like Maggie is hard mode in that game. Low starting speed means you're gonna get hit a lot more, which means less Devil/Angel rooms, which means less overall power, etc

Azazel absolutely is easy mode, in my opinion. Different play style but once you get used to it, it's a joke. I started out playing Azazel a lot too. Now that you have a handle of the game, try the other characters :)

I had all the hard mode completion marks for every character until AB+. Doubt I'll be beating Greedier mode with everyone, it is not fun at all.

I almost beat Hush as The Lost today. Had Tech 2, Polyphemus, and Triple Shot as Maggie. Also had Infestation 2.
Ended up finding the missing poster. Killed myself when I found Dead Cat so I could have 9 lives as The Lost. Also went into the fight with Unicorn Stub and two Algiz. Still lost :( --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Maggie starts with 4 hearts and a healing item, how anyone could call that hard mode is beyond me :P

Maggie sucked before AB+, now she has decent starting speed. Regardless, not a fun character to play as imo.
