I'm like 150 pounds, 5'6-5'7", and a little bit chubby for a short white kid. Was thinking about following a little subway diet thing, since I've got more than enough money to do it, and yeah. I was wondering if any of you nutrition-guys think that eating a subway melt with no ranch or anything but still dat cheese, dat bacon, and dat salt + pepper would be aight? That and a bowl of cereal a day.

Tbh the only thing that matters for weight is calories in calories out. If all you're eating is a six inch sandwich and a bowl of cereal you'll lose weight. I lost like 50 pounds only eating fast food and drinking soda and Arizona tea.

Depends rather you want to be cut or not. Obviously watch for sugar, HFCS, ETC. Besides that it doesn't really matter unless you want to be super cut with a low bodyfat %.

Do you really want to be on the same "diet" Jared Fogle was on?

I think TC should go for it.

Well I mean the guy supposedly lost a lot of weight doing it.

But probably because he ate one 6" turkey sub plain instead of, as Subway would want you to believe, literally anything on the menu.

If your going to go on a "subway diet" at the very least don't actually go to subway. Look at the menu, then get the individual items necessary at a super market and make those sandwiches yourself

$6 sub x 7 days a week = $42

You can buy a week's worth of ingredients for half of that.

I just said if you're going to do it at least save money by getting the exact same ingredients at the supermarket and make it yourself. But if you insist on paying 6-8 bucks for someone to make you a combo as opposed to spending like 3 bucks and simply making it yourself that's your call.

As the above poster already said, you can save like 40 bucks a week. Doesn't sound like much but that's just under 2100 bucks a year you could save doing the shit yourself. Hell buy in bulk at costco and you'll save more to spend on other shit. For some people, non city folk specifically, that's a solid 2 months rent.

People still believe this nonsense?

If your insulin resistance is s*** then the number for the calories in calories out rule becomes more disadvantageous to you. The law of thermodynamics stays the same, it's how efficient you are under it that changes.

I don't know where you're shopping, but I can get a half pound of deli meat (which is a week's worth if you're not overeating) for $5. Good stuff too, not crappy Oscar Meyer.

I can literally get a pound of deli meat at Walmart for around $6-$7, and it'll last a week.
