i think the HD seasons from 9-14 have been pretty good, but 15 isnt so good. it's more like season 5, a cutaway every 10 seconds and just more random nonsense than usual. cmon family guy

i respectfully disagree, i think it had a return to form in season 7 and then from 9-14

Seasons 1-3 were the only seasons I'd consider good. Some of the earlier post-cancellation episodes had their moments I guess.

have you actually continuously watched it, or did you watch a few from season 4 and give up? because it has some clear upturns imo

Honestly, the show was dreadful after it came back, for a long time. But I recently (6 months ago) went through about 3 of the most recent seasons, and the change in quality is astounding. It was funny and interesting. I'll probably give the current season a try once it's over so I can marathon it.

Honestly, the show was dreadful after it came back, for a long time. But I recently (6 months ago) went through about 3 of the most recent seasons, and the change in quality is astounding. It was funny and interesting. I'll probably give the current season a try once it's over so I can marathon it.

if you like the more modern episodes, id give seasons 7 and 9 through 11 a chance

the modern episodes are terrible garbage with bad pacing and pathetic jokes, and the show was declining in quality ever since the revival

As to why Family Guy is still running gets me all curious, haven't tuned in to watch a new episode in years.

admittedly the later seasons still get a giggle out of me sometimes, so I agree with tc

I think I watched up to whatever season that episode where Diane Simmons went crazy and started killing everyone in that mansion was from. Though I did watch the episode where Stewie and Brian went back to the first episode of the series, which admittedly wasn't too bad.

But the rest of the show, I really can't stand anymore.

the first couple episodes were weak but the "more down-to-earth but still zany" style of the show is much better than whatever bizarre self-referential snarky incoherent trash it's trying to be nowadays
a joke in a modern episode is either pointing out a stereotype or just describing something in great detail as it's happening (or, even lazier, it cuts to a skit of exactly what was described)
there's literally nothing funny in modern episodes

i dont think you understand that the older episodes were pretty much like that too except for a couple in seasons 2 and 3

im watching the Taylor Swift and Chris episode, makes no sense

shes like 26 and hes 14
