It CAN'T be from Trump's not so subtle threats as that bluff has been called and he's required to relinquish those tapes if they exist.

Probably he
1) doesn't think his testimony is all that important right now because
a) he'll not be able to comment on the pending investigation to an extent that it means anything, or;
b) thinks the Bureau already has enough info to end the investigation and testifying would be a waste of time; or
c) he doesn't have any relevant info to share; OR
2) he's in fear for his life because Trump sent a hit man to rough him up

You're probably right, but I'm sure the Trump cult will take this as a victory, that Trump intimidated Comey into backing off

Well he's going to testify in a closed hearing next Tuesday to Congress anyway.

He doesn't have anything to gain from it.

That ought to be reason enough.

It's like the guy, regarding talking to the police. You shouldn't do it because it can't help you, and that should be all the reason you need.
