Flynn, Y'shtola, Agnès Oblige and Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar have challenged Crono, Sabin and Leon Kennedy to a fight! Location of the fight: Spekkio's Arena - A medium-size square platform, fenced in, suspended in eternal nothingness. There is room to maneuver (though not too much), and there is no cover to speak of. Attackers start at the entrance, with defenders on the far side. Which side will win?

Guidelines

- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.
- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.
- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.
- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.

Flynn is as he appears by the end of Shin Megami Tensei IV, equipped with only the Plasma Sword, Plasma Gun, Almighty Rounds, White King armor set, and Hero Earrings. The only skills he has are all -dyne level elemental spells, Luster Candy, and Great Logos. The only apps he has is MP Recovery 2, and he cannot summon. Flynn has been suplexed by Sabin onto Agnès, damaging him.

Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar is as seen in WWE Immortals. He is fully upgraded and gains the benefit of his passive, which increases his strength as he defeats enemies, but he has no gear. He may use any attacks Brock Lesnar would and any from the game, but he needs to build meter to use his in game signatures and finisher, and they will not be unblockable here. Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar has taken damage from Y'shtola being suplexed onto him. Rosalina has worked her magic on Brock, making him twice as big and twice as heavy as he would normally be. What impact this has on his fighting ability is up to voter interpretation.

Agnès Oblige is as she appears in Bravely Default, in the Black Mage job with access to all of its support skills (even if slots do not permit, though she does not necessarily have to use all of them) and its specialty. She has her best non-broken equipment and the additional skillset of Time Mage. She may freely Brave and Default in battle, but may not use Bravely Second. Agnes has taken damage from Flynn being suplexed onto her.

Y'shtola is as seen in Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, with all the skills and traits of a Level 60 White Mage, including Raise. She also has the cross-class skills of Arcanist and Thaumaturge, and her Bravery/HP attacks from Dissidia. She cannot use Flow or Repose. Y'shtola has been suplexed by Sabin onto Brock Lesnar, damaging her.

Crono is as he appears in Chrono Trigger (DS), with his best non-broken equipment and all his techs save for Life. Dual/Triple techs with other Crono Trigger characters are allowed.

Sabin Figaro is as he appears at the end of FF6A. He comes to battle equipped with Tigerfang, Godhand, Red Jacket, Red Cap, Genji Glove, and Hero's Ring. He is able to cast all spells from the espers Alexander and Gilgamesh, though he may not summon them.

Leon Kennedy is as he appears in Resident Evil 6, equipped with a knife, dual Wing Shooters, Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle, Lightning Hawk, some hand grenades, and the Chicago Typewriter (from Resident Evil 4).

So this fight is pretty one sided for Brock and friends.

Pretty straightforward. The fight takes place in Spekkioland, which is basically a single room. It's basically brute force versus brute force. So beyond the numbers advantage what makes this fight incredibly one sided?

Y'shtola is a white mage and has a shit ton of curing abilities. All on instant cast. While Sabin's suplexed both Flynn into Agnes and Y'shtola into Brock for damage, this can be healed practically immediately by Y'shtola's ability Assize.

This is the actual AOE of it. For all allies, they heal a considerable amount. To enemies, it's a moderate nuke that damages them. In such a small room, everyone is going to take this effect. Y'shtola has two other instant cast abilities: Benediction (a 100% full cure) and Tetragrammaton which is a huge heal as well. If Y'shtola opens up the fight with Divine Seal (increases healing potency by 30% for 15 seconds) she can keep the party alive really, really effectively. She also has access to Swiftcast -- this allows an instant cast of ANY spell. She could Raise if really needed, or drop a big AOE party heal like Medica 2 (which gives the Regen status for half a minute).

Additionally, there is Stone that deal earth damage AND slows the enemy by 40% for 20 seconds. It doesn't deal much damage but it's a short cast (2.5 seconds, or 2.1 with Presence of Mind active) and is a great way to keep the melee Sabin and Crono at bay. Finally she has the instant cast Fluid Aura. It's short ranged (5 yards) but has a huge pushback AND binds them for several moments. Oh and she can create a barrier against projectiles (also she can take a big whack from a Warrior of Darkness! <_<):

Agnes can quad-cast Haste, Slow, and high level black mage AOE magic with Bravecasting. Self-explanatory.

Flynn has a plasma sword, plasma gun. He also has Luster Candy with is a full party ATK+, DEF+, and Agility+. SMT spells are near instantaneous as shown in cutscenes (https://youtu.be/z8oEjmBtRTA?t=56 let alone in actual turn based battle they happen immediately). He also has Great Logos, which is an AOE Almighty attack that deals severe damage and basically evaporates the shit out of fodder demons. Flynn's also kind of a boss, and slays high ranking angels and devils by himself practically so his ability in battle is pretty legit.

Also there's a huge ass Brock Lesnar that can be enabled by a friendly Haste spell or by Sukukaja (from Luster Candy). Being in a box with Brock Lesnar is bad, bad news. He has a legit background in wrestling and with his sheer size...yeah, not good for Sabin.

tl;dr lopen edition: yshtola good at kiting, brock super fast f5's people, protection from bullets/healing, flynn logos people to lego land and agnes nuke spam

while thats true, i think the first 1/4th the game are the events that transpire during smt4's neutral path. there's merit to consider what he does from a second person's pov (nanashi, smt4a's main character who gets bailed out by flynn fighting like some archangel dude)

Two facts about Brock here that I want to bring into everyone's consideration. One, this is what he looks like from his gameplay, showing off his big moves:

Two, I want everyone to look at the effect of Rosalina's magic closely. Brock is twice as tall and twice as heavy. Nowhere does it say these things don't stack. Why does it matter? Because when you double something's size, you multiply its weight by eight times. Brock Lesnar is at least 250 lb., by any reckoning. With doubled size, his weight goes to 2000 lb., and doubled weight on top makes him weigh 4000 lb. That's about 1800 kilograms, or 1.8 tons. Brock is SUPER heavy now. I don't know what effect it has on his combat capability, but I want to point out that this isn't a straight weight doubling, probably.

More like a sequel that explores an entirely new path that goes beyond what happened in SMT4. Basically Flynn's close to finishing the Neutral route, gets interrupted, and shit derails massively, unlike in SMT4.

I would say that endgame Apocalypse is beyond the scope of what Flynn can get because he has more time to hone himself and gain power (and punches higher than he did before alongside Nanashi). The opening cutscenes though? Yeah sure, that counts.

Flynn's first appearance in SMT4A is saving Nanashi from Aniel as he's trying to kill the Law dude Merkabah which is something that happens in SMT4 neutral

I think the plot goes off the rails there though, but he basically solos Aniel (quadruples Isabeau's damage, and nanashi/the girl does like 10 damage) without any demons.

So let me make this argument before you all pick the team with the more numbers to win. The second the fight begins you already had Sabin doing some Suplexes but what I am also imagining here is this. If y ou have Crono run into the middle of the room and cast Luminaire from the start you have Crono taking up this large part of the room for a short period of time. This will allow enough of diversion to be able to cast shell and protect and quick at least on himself and if it backs the other team into the corners he may even be able to cast it on Crono as well. So what this does to Gravys team is forces them into the corners where they will either be forced to stay there or be hit with the power that is Luminaire. When stuck in the corner they can be bombarded with a number of weapons that Leon has to offer. Most of which are armor ignoring because it is modern firearms.

Now understandable this is only the first few opening moments but once the arc of the Luminaire comes down you can continue to keep the enemies in the corner because I would argue that Sabin is the same strength of not stronger than Robo and they would be able to the Crono/Robo Supercyclone double tech. Or on his own right Sabin can continue to keep to suplex Brock into his teammates. Either way, we're keep his team stuck in the corners while Leon can bombarded them until he is out of ammo. If the concern is that Brock is taking up too much space, Sabin has dispel and I would argue bring Brock down to normal size. So our plan is to do them damage while forcing them in the corner and hitting them with a barrage of gunfire from Leon.

Crono's Luminaire tech, by itself, is a rather long cast against other magi that have instant spellcasts, honestly. Also something like he has a bad magic stat, or something.

But is also ridiculously broken. It is his first move to reach max damage if I recall correctly.

Brock is pretty lol but he's EXTRA BIG so I think he can probably meatshield long enough for the girls to kill stuff with spells, which won't take long.

Also Y'shtola's Holy is an AoE that stuns for 3 seconds, which is killer in this arena. She can insta-cast it with Swiftcast.

Also also there is no way Crono is quicker on the draw with magic than Agnes/Flynn/Y'shtola.

A) Dispel won't erase Galactic Dimensions. Abilities can't be nullified, only handled as per the conventions in the first post.

B) Crono's magic stat is very crap. In a game where Magus and Lucca cap out at 99 and Marle hits 96, Crono's level 99 magic stat is a meager 46. Only Ayla's is worse and she doesn't use magic. Even Frog and Robo cast better than him. Luminaire is super broken, but it's so in spite of Crono, not because of him. I buy it taking a few seconds to cast and he probably is much better served by using like, Slash, Cyclone or Confuse instead. Sword dudes, don't magic em in close quarters.

Positions weren't changed actually. Just damage from Sabin's SUPLEX CITY ripoff. Aigis' suplex does more -- it prones and starts them next to her. Big difference

Yes, but a bad mage like Crono will take some time to cast it. Good mages can rapidfire spells like they're machineguns (see: any Dissidia vid of Terra Branford firing off like eight firas in a second). Bad mages take time to cast a single spell. It opens him up to getting shot by plasma bullets from Flynn or suplexed by Brock.

Personally I don't think anyone dies from the suplex. Injured, but not so much they can't still cast.

And yeah, the problem with Luminaire is that it takes too long to cast -- even just going by the spell animation, Crono levitates into the air and there's a couple seconds of chargeup before anything damaging comes out.
