A European intelligence official is reportedly warning that his country may stop sharing information with the U.S. after reports that President Trump revealed highly classified intel to Russian officials.

The official said sharing information "could be a risk for our sources," The Associated Press reported.

The Washington Post reported Monday that Trump revealed highly classified intelligence information to Russia's foreign minister and ambassador while meeting with them last week in the Oval Office.

Trump reportedly revealed “code-word information” related to threats from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria that had been provided by a U.S. ally.
One U.S. official told the newspaper that the information was so sensitive it had not been provided to U.S. allies.

Trump discussed the information, according to the report, with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in the Oval Office during a meeting last Wednesday — a day after he fired FBI Director James Comey.

The White House on Monday evening pushed back on the reports. Speaking outside the White House, national security adviser H.R. McMaster said: "The story that came out tonight, as reported, is false."

Trump on Tuesday tweeted that as president, he wanted to share facts with Russia related to "terrorism and airline flight safety," which he said he had the "absolute right to do."

In 5 months, he's destroying relationships that the U.S. has built over 50 years.

What's funny is that information and knowledge becomes more valuable the more it is spread and used. It has the opposite effect of diminishing returns that tangible assets have.

In the U.S., sure. But when they spied internationally, the British Government worked very closely with us. That may not be the case anymore.

Oh no doubt. My perspective is from a business and management view in regards to how sharing knowledge will benefit the company, even if that information is shared with competitors. I understand that there are risks in regards to this incident that are not apparent in the business world

Yeah, it's pretty easy when the west is destabilizing itself.

You know, I wouldn't mind the west ousting us from their damned spy games. We have had too much of that shit over the last 50 years.

Of course it would also remove us from being at the top of the world powers the way things are these days.

I'm surprised Trump hasn't tweeted the nuclear launch codes already.

The guy has no filter.
