I know Oracle of Seasons and Ages aren't exactly the same game but there was no way I was having them take up 2 spots in the poll or leaving them both out or just putting one in.

I put Dragon Warrior VII in the poll because it's one of my favorite games of all time and is ridiculously Underrated and overlooked. The original PlayStation version was also much better than the 3ds remake imo.

Wish i could have 30 options in the poll instead of 10, holy crap.

MGS2. Easily.

I remember people buying Zone of The Enders (another good game from 2001, but not great) just to play the MGS2 demo included.
MGS2 was also highly instrumental in building hype before the PlayStation 2's release and helped establish PS2's dominance in that generation of consoles.

Devil May Cry is a very respectable 2nd behind MGS2.

The fact that these games have yet to be represented in this contest is simply unbelievable.
