I'd like to live in a tiny, neat place sorta like that one day. Thing is, I know nothing about architecture and all of that, so yeah. I was going to draw a side view too, but I'm too busy tonight, so I'll just fill in the other details here. All of the counter/table tops would be about 80cm tall. The windows would start a meter off the ground and each be 1m tall to let in plenty of sunlight. In between the sink and mini stove/hot plate the counter would be empty underneath to fit in a mini fridge. The spaces under the other counter/table tops would have shelving of different dimensions. Except in the Northwest corner, since that's where I'd be sitting in my chair, so I'd need leg room. I would have the chair out during the day and keep a futon in the closet in the south west corner to be swapped at night. I would also store my clothes in there. The thing on the outside of the west wall is a ladder leading to the roof, so I could store stuff up there too. I would have a basin of water in the bathroom to wash my hands in and just empty it/ fill it up in/with the shower. Probably forgetting something but that's the gist of it. --- Nil- ... where's the bedroom? Like I said I'd just have a futon/cot in the closet and flop it down in the middle of the floor at night to sleep on. MrMelodramatic posted... big toilet Yeah... Since it wasn't just some straight lines I screwed it up of course. I think I'd actually like one of those tanks above the toilet like you see in older movies set in England, it'd take up less room that way. AdrammeIech posted... What kind of stuff do you store on the roof? Hmm... Maybe I'd just have a lawn chair and some plants up there so I'd have a place to relax outside. helIy posted... my trailer was bigger than that lmao I don't need much room, and it would save me money in the long run. --- Nil- ... ah. looks nice and easy to maintain That and cost saving are two of the main things I'm going for. I don't really get why the average house wastes so much space and why people are always chasing after bigger and more wasteful ones. I mean I do I guess, that's just not for me. --- Nil- ... How are you going to heat and cool? Where will you place the hot water heater? Did you set aside room for a mini fridge? Will your stove have an oven? Will you just use a laundry mat for your clothing?
To save room in some countries the toilet and shower are all together much like an insert tub but I don't know if they are widely available. Depending on the climate where you are the roof usage is a good idea. Personally I'd want a porch too with roof access from there. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I know a guy who built some small cottages to rent out to college students. To save room he put a staircase that went up to a loft for an open bedroom area that you can look down from and see your whole house.

How are you going to heat and cool? Where will you place the hot water heater? Did you set aside room for a mini fridge? Will your stove have an oven? Will you just use a laundry mat for your clothing? I figured maybe an underground heating system, as e cold is the main thing I have to worry about where I live. If it gets too hot, the windows are aligned in such a way and close enough together that I'd have good air flow throughout. Yeah, the fridge would be under the counter between the sink and stove. Hmm... I think they have relatively small wall mounted units these days right? As I wouldn't use much hot water one of those in the bath room might work. No oven, I never use those things. I would fit a microwave in there somewhere though. I'd wash my clothing by hand and hang it outside to dry probably, inside the shower during winter though. gravy posted... Id keep the futon out all the time just cus swapping it every day will be a hassle I meant an actual Japanese style futon, (pretty much just a fluffy, foldable mattress) not one with a metal frame. --- Nil- ...
