Is that actually a rule. If so I've made a good few invalid votes so far I think.

-Leaders cannot vote for their own teams (and players from the same pool may not vote as well), but they are free to argue their case.

This isn't to say you can't do votes 'in spirit' kinda like Alany used to do, though. We just won't count em in the final tally if they're illegal.

did kirby inhale fox or the arwing? im confus ed

The Arwing

But he also has Fox's passive, giving him an Arwing

So Kirby shows up in an Arwing, and also can turn into Arwing-form

Fox

The unfortunate truth of it is that the Arwing that Kirby initially copies is still designed with Fox in mind. This isn't something like a Knuckles copy or a Rikku hijacking, where they have suddenly perfect knowledge or technical expertise respectively, but basically someone throwing Kirby into a plane and saying "have fun kid". And, I mean, it IS Kirby, he has just jumped into random enemy shit before and piloted it no problem (hi Robobot), but the issue comes from the fact that the Arwing is very, VERY well-documented in the Star Fox universe of being very difficult to pilot and not only requiring intense training, but body modifications (hence why Fox cut off his legs and replaced them with metal - they'd turn to jelly due to the g-forces otherwise). Kirby's limbs... are small, as is he. He's just not built to pilot the initial arwing that he's in.

Now Arwing FORM Kirby, on the other hand, is absolutely a-okay and I believe he becomes a pew pew monster because the Kirby series is VERY generous to its flight-based abilities in terms of power and capabilities. But Kirby starts inside something he's disadvantaged by for, like, a second, and even if he tries to operate, will probably cartoonishly pinball around for quite some time before getting the hang of it, if at all. That's not time Fox wastes.

"Legless pilots can handle more Gs than their legged bretherin. When gravity forces blood from the brain to lower extremities, it causes the pilot to black out. But if you have no legs to force blood to, more blood can stay in the brain, and it's easier for the heart to pump blood back to the brain.

Their legs were probably voluntarily amputated as these are all trained pilots. Their futuristic society allows for prosthetics that allows them to walk and run normally so there's no loss in performing these amputations."

It's all Instruction Manual and comics shit for the original Star Fox, but it's reinforced in Fox's design and in gameplay (hence why Fox's legs don't actually have hurtboxes in Melee - nothing to be hurt).

Voting Fox

Kirby's universe and its vehicles haven't been demonstrated as being incapable of being driven by anyone. Fox's universe has demonstrated that there is skill and a learning curve in terms of driving. Kirby's universe just might have more intuitive controls. Putting Kirby in an Arwing might be like putting Wesley Crusher in an X-Wing and expecting him to succeed because he used to drive the Enterprise out of the dock.

Because you would have needed a Robotech cyclone pilot on the motorcycle. also known as a man riding a motorcycle that wears armor that can change into a motorcycle if needed.

The metal legs thing isn't canon though. It's just pushed by game theory and outdated fluff in the english Nintendo Power/manual for only the first game. Like calling Samus "him" early on, or any other number of details about Samus's life or backstory only found in english comics.

I'm not sure Kirby's limbs are even long enough to pilot the Arwing. Even if he can, and even if he masters the controls quickly, Fox is still a way better pilot and has so much more experience in air combat. Kirby doesn't stand a chance. If he survives that initial beatdown and comes out in his Kirbwing form, he will have better control but he still doesn't have the expertise and strategy in a ship fight that Fox has. Fox wins pretty easily imo
