I certainly wouldn't try it in an airport though.

Prices being high aside, air port food generally isn't that good even if it's a chain (Subway/pizza hut etc). No clue why they charge 2-3x as much and STILL don't make the food as good as normal stores.

Should just up the quality in the airport since they are charging so much for the location already, spend an extra 40% on better food so that paying $15 freaking dollars for a burrito at least gives you something tasty.

Last time I was there i got a $15 burrito that was worse then a frozen one from a store (That you can buy for $1-$2). I was pretty amazed at both the combination of bad quality and high price.

Chex Mix or cookies are good to tide us over until we land.

It's also the cost of doing business. The rent is insane. All of the products cost more to get through security. Subsidizing security and other things.

It's not simply "because they want to."

Yeah, I was figuring the rent is probably pretty pricey as well, but still think they're taking advantage of their position. That's business though, so it's understandable.

When I traveled my company paid for it so I ordered the biggest and most expensive thing on the menu at the airport.

It was bland. I should have went to the Wendy's next to it.
