Is Maddi Hot?

18 y/o Maddi Runkles from Boonsboro, Maryland was BANNED from her Graduation AND SUSPENDED for 2 days because the school she goes to, Heritage Academy found out she's PREGNANT..and she was SLUT SHAMED!!

She attended the small private Christian School and found out she was pregnant back in January, just a few days after receiving her college acceptance letter..and soon after telling people, she was suspended and got Banned from her Grad.

The school removed her from her position on student council and told her she wouldn't be able to join her friends at her graduation in June

She says she's been treated more harshly than students who were suspended for other reasons and said "Some pro-life people are against the killing of unborn babies, but they won't speak out in support of the girl who chooses to keep her baby. Honestly, that makes me feel like maybe the abortion would be better. Then they would have just forgiven me, rather than deal with this visible consequence"

Her situation clasehes with the Christian organizations that oppose abortion and don't support sex before marriage and can't handle the pregnant teens.

Anti-Abortion organization for Students for Life says she shouldn't be punished for her pregnancy and praised for choosing to keep the baby

Kristan Hawkins said "There has got to be a way to treat a young woman who becomes pregnant in a graceful and loving way"

Maddi tried to persuade their decision but they refused as David Hobbs, the admin said it was an internal issue which much prayer and discussion has taken place.

Maddi says the man she slept with does not go to Heritage and they do not plan on getting married as she feels she's been slut shamed and banished from her own celebration..

Is Maddi Hot? let's see what people think.

I'm pretty easy on what I call sexist, but I'm guessing the father attended.

Bet she's glad she didn't use birth control or get an abortion.

- Christian School doesn't support sex before marriage.
- Average girl has sex before marriage
- Average girl gets pregnant and suspended
- Average girl claims it's slut shaming and runs to the media.
- The reality of the situation is she's just another dumb girl who got herself knocked up and now will live her life as a single mum probably. Nothing new here.

There's nothing wrong with ridiculing stupid decisions.
Sure, it may be too late for scrolls up "Maddi", but other kids might take note. Kids respond shockingly well to ridicule/shame based prevention.

If the baby is going to grow up in a loving environment, is there really a "wrong thing" to ridicule/shame?

If you don't want to be punished for stupid reasons, don't attend a private school with stupid rules. Fair, next.

Considering the father doesn't attend the same school that isn't even relevant.

No one even said anything about ridicule before you. She broke the school rules and was punished for it. No more, no less; at least until her family decided to bring the issue to the attention of others, anyway.

Apparently some Christians would disagree and she was attending a Christian school.

My personal views are that you should be in a solid relationship and have the financial means to support a family before you start creating life. I'm aware things don't always go to plan and perhaps she'll be a great mum but the fact of the matter is my personal views are irreverent as she isn't attending the school of wwinterj25.

On one hand this is a private school that should be able to accept and kick out which children it wants, on the other they are probably getting some kind of tax payer money either directly or indirectly and therefore should be subject to a discrimination lawsuit on the basis of discriminating against a medical condition.

Is this one of the rules of the school she or her family agreed to when she attended? If so, then it is fair, if not then she should be saying something. The rule may be stupid but it is a private CHRISTIAN school, what did she expect? Look at Anderson College in Indiana. If a boy or girl is caught in the other genders dorms they could get expelled.

Yep. Babies need more than just love.

Surprised to hear you state that, but yeah. Granted, I suppose you could argue that she may have been at a disadvantage since a Christian school is less likely to teach sex ed which would have helped her avoid pregnancy, but not having sex would have also had that same effect.

You're asking is it wrong to criticize somebody for damaging their child's prospects by bringing them into a single parent situation? Why would that be wrong? Study after study after study has shown that the children of single mothers are less likely to succeed in life. Likewise, she's hurting her own prosperity and, at the same time, diminishing her ability to care for a child by having one so young.

They're not being discriminated against for the "condition", they're being discriminated against for choosing to put themselves in that condition.

Because young people have diminished capabilities and her upbringing largely suggests that she wasn't educated in this arena.

Again, being young doesn't make you exempt from the law and these rules were put in place specifically against "kids". It's 2017, you can educate yourself on any subject that takes your fancy, you can only blame yourself for ignorance.

Out of curiosity did she say she had sex or can she still make a claim that it is a virgin birth caused by gods blessing?
