ALLEN's adventure begins!



ALLEN wakes up on Koholint Island, sole survivor of a shipwreck. Marin found him on the shore and carried him all the way to her house. Damn she must be strong!

Tarin (Marin's father - so is that like naming your daughter Mallen?) gives ALLEN back his shield and they point him in the direction of where his sword would be. As ALLEN retrieves his sword from the sand, a freakin' owl starts talking to him! Apparently ALLEN needs to wake up a wind fish in an egg on a mountaintop to leave this island?? Was ALLEN the victim of a shipwreck or the crash of Oceanic 815?

So, now set off to find a key for a Dharma station - I mean a dungeon, ALLEN journeys into the ~~mysterious~~ forest oOoOo. Nothin too weird here - except for the fact that he found Tarin had turned into a raccoon after eating a mushroom. Whoa, wouldn't that have been cool if you could turn into things like raccoons by eating things like mushrooms in Super M - oh.

Now that ALLEN's got the Tail key (Tale key? I swear it said Tale cave in the game), he can slam into his first dungeon. He cans some moldoms and ran past some goombas (Wait, why are there goombas??) to get Rocc's Feather, now he can jump! Wham bam thank you m'am! There was also a wall asking to be bombed and a couple of puzzles left unsolved, but the only hint as to what to do requires a beak to be inserted in a special slot in the wall. Hmmm...where's that owl gone off to...

After a close call with the mini boss, ALLEN creams the Nightmare in charge of this den and gets his ticket off this damned crazy ass island, a... full moon cello? ALLEN's like, "WTF is this for, owl?" and owl's like, "LOL you need 7 more of those to rock out and wake up the wind fish". Looks like he should start looking for bandmates...



That's where I'll call it for now, looks like danger back at the village, some commotion with the town Chain Chomps. We'll see what's up next time in Super Link World: Koholint Island tomorrow!

Night 2

Here stands a brave ALLEN



Fresh outta Tail cave, ALLEN enters Mabe village to trouble: Madam MeowMeow's pet chain chomp Bow-wow has been kidnapped by Moblins! Aaahh!!! Real monsters!

What better hero available than the valiant ALLEN? So he traipes on over back into the ~~mysterious forest~~ hoppin' like never before, hoppin into new territory! Welcome to the world of Go'ponga Swamp (apostrophe inserted at my preference).

And just beside Go'ponga swamp is a foreboding cave, displaying bones above the entrance... This must be where poor Bow-wow is being held hostage. ALLEN steps inside. It's time to stab some moblins, baby! After dealing with his minions, King Moblin himself steps up to the plate, claiming ALLEN had been sent by Madam MeowMeow as an assassin. Heheh, sorry to "pop" in unannounced...

After an easy lil' battle that totally didn't require using save states, ALLEN gets Bow-wow back! Now, eating Go'ponga flowers is his favorite sport, he likes the way they grown up and down the swamp floor. In fact, he even eats the flowers that blocked the entrance to the next dungeon: B O T T L E G R O T T O !

ALLEN leaves Bow-wow at the front (i guess he didnt want to get him lost in the grotto) and ventures inside. Looks like the whole map is shaped like a b o t t l e (heheh). Inside one of the chests, ALLEN finds a cute little bracelet! You see that he offsets it with his sword on his other hand, he's saying, "I'm not a robot, I'm not a communist, I'm not the reason we lost Vietnam! I'm not gonna follow your orders, OWL! YOU CANT MAKE ME DO WHAT YOU WANT OWL!"... Ahem. Ah.

So... besides filling ALLEN with a spunky independent attitude, the bracelet allows him to lift massive poundage, brah! Time to get swoll, brah! The Nightmare this time is some wacky clown in a b o t t l e (heheh) who was incessant on reminding him every. single. time. he popped out of his b o t t l e (heheh) that he was safe as long as he had his b o t t l e (heheh) so he smashed that shit. And he killed him. RIP (this is because of the It remake, right?)

And ripped off the clown's horn and said "look at me, look at me. I am hero now"



ALLEN's got a lot to uproot now with enough cash for a shovel and his moxy bracelet, but that's for another day! See ya tomorrow!

Night 3

10:30PM - 12:10AM

For ALLEN the bell tolls



You might be wondering, what did ALLEN get for his heroic deed of saving Bow-wow from the evildoers? A kiss from Madam Meow Meow... why couldn't Marin lose her pet??

Utilizing his moxy bracelet, ALLEN hefts aside a few boulders and opens up the wild frontier of Koholint Island! Nothing but vast stretches of grass in Ukuku prairie.. Oh wait, I think that's just someone's backyard. Yup, that's just this dude with the fancy hair's backyard. Understandably upset at the poor maintenance of this dude's backyard, ALLEN steps inside his abode and demands a word with frogs. Frogs? Why is his house full of frogs? ALLEN does not worry about such things, though. He worries about the backyard.

Turns out "this dude" is some prissy punk named "Richard". And he has the cavern to the next key, Cavern Key! Uh, er, key to the key for the.. he has Key Cavern's Cavernous... Anyway Richard has a thing he wants and in exchange he just wants some leaves. Well, golden ones. Psh, probably isn't satisfied eating his caviar without the precious glint of money. Don't you know the Rupee isn't pegged to the gold standard, Richie Rich? Oh well, off to Kanalet Castle for his keys! Leaves!

ALLEN sneaks and snakes into the castle, slicing and dicing those who oppose the hero! Who's castle is this? Why is there a button inside that lowers the drawbridge? Why are there golden leaves being guarded by darknuts? ALLEN does not worry about this. He only thinks of Richard's awful overgrowth that will take many hours of labor to whack. How could one be so careless.

Yella' belly Richard gets his dumb leaves and gives us passage... to his backyard. That's right. He wants ALLEN to clear the way "to get to the key". Uh huh. After machete-ing his way through the pitfall ridden grassy nightmare that is Richard's backyard, ALLEN makes off with the Slime Key! Whoa, is this made of metal slime?? Experience, here we come!

Inside Key Cavern (which is shaped like keys) ALLEN finds many keys, keese, and creeps. He even gets a brand spankin' new item: The Pegasus Boots! Finally, he can run! The boss wasn't keys, so the vibe was kinda killed and ALLEN just mercy killed it and moved on to something cooler: The Sea Lily's Bell! And, appropriately enough, ALLEN walks out with something else in his pockets: an extra key (no joke!).



Struttin' out of the cave with moxy bracelet on, spare key jinglin' on his waist, and a amplified passion to get his funk on, ALLEN journeys out. Better find some shades, too, cos' seems like the owl wants him to get to Yarna Desert. But that's tomorrow!

Night 4

10:10PM - 12:05AM

ALLEN's got a date



There's so much for ALLEN to do with his sweet new kicks, where to begin? Oh yeah, how about that library in town, there was one book that needed a lil' run'n'bump to get knocked down...

Well, turns out that book held the secret to entering the Color Dungeon! All it took was shifting some gravestones and disturbing the eternal slumber of Koholint Island's ancient civilians. Ain't that somethin? Well, inside the dungeon were a couple of minibosses - piece of cake, a couple puzzles - piece of cake, and a super easy boss. The reward for all this? A piece of cake. (Well, not for ALLEN, I just decided to eat some cake while playing. I deserve it!) ALLEN gets a spiffy new outfit, one to match his sad, lonely heart... blue. It helps with defense, so his heart can't so easily be broken... I mean, he loses less hearts. *sigh*



Wandering out eastward, alone... ALLEN comes across a town full of animals, Animal Village! The raccoon wants me to move in and give him bells, but there's no way I'm giving him my Sea Lily Bell (what's up with that guy?). Anyways, things are pretty swell here, but they all seem to miss Marin (me too...) and could use her to help move a giant walrus blocking passage to the desert (me too... wait, not really). Maybe ALLEN should go talk to her... but what if she rejects him? Oh wait, that's why he got the defense suit, right.

With sweaty palms, ALLEN meets Marin on the beach. She says she's been waiting to be alone with him for a long time, wanted to tell him something... She wants to become a seagull. . . . . . . . . . Uh, OK Marin. ALLEN understands that everyone has their quirks, and asks her out on a date. They sit by the cliffs together, explore caves, visit town, see the world, it's wonderful. But love is expensive, man. They went into the shop with 980 rupees and came out with just a bow! Did Marin really need such an expensive accessory?? She looks fine! Wait, what? This isn't a ribbon-type bow, this is a arrow-type bow. Oh sick! Definitely worth 980 rupees. So cool.

ALLEN and Marin walk back to Animal Village to help the townscreatures with their little (well, big) walrus problem. Marin instructs ALLEN how to play the ocarina, and together for the walrus they play the Ballad of the Windfish, which rouses him to leave the path! Wow, it must have been really moving.



Marin returns to Animal Village to serenade the townsfolk, and ALLEN looks upon the path to Yarna Desert. But that's tomorrow! (For real this time!)

Night 5

11:45PM - 12:25AM

ALLEN under the sea



Out in the sun, ALLEN slaves away... combing the Yarna Desert for a new dungeon to conquer. What more is he lookin' for? The sand underneath is so hot... and it swirls around in such a strange away. Oh godesses, does ALLEN have heat stroke? No, yikes, it's a giant sand worm! Oh sweet bejeezus... it's Dirge.



ALLEN slays the mad colossus and claims another soul... I mean, the Angler Key! Wait, Angler, as in fish? ALLEN hasn't seen a drop of water in this godforsaken desert, what's up with that? Well, our favorite owl stops by to tell ALLEN that his next objective is hidden under a waterfall, far north in the Tal Tal Mountains. Yeah, thanks owl, we knew that... we weren't going to try the fisherman's house in Mabe Village...

So ALLEN uses the key to open the way to Angler's Tunnel, but he must go even higher to enter it. He's dreamed about going up there, but this may be a big mistake... But ALLEN climbs ever more towards the heavens, and once he find the perfect perch, he looks down and sees the entrance. There's water on both sides, but ALLEN can't swim, so he is left with the suicidal option of aiming for the patch of ground. Well, the owl said he would have to fall in, so let's hope this doesn't end with a crime scene... Here goes!

GAME OVER














Actually, while ALLEN did just jump off a 50 foot cliff onto hard ground, the combination of his rockin' boots, defensive tunic, and moxy bracelet save him from death. He actually lands really smoothly, getting a 8.6 from the judges. That's great!

This tunnel is flooded everywhere... There's hardly even room for ALLEN to get to each room without tripping into the water! You'd think that after surviving a shipwreck he'd put in some time to learn how to swim... Anyways, there's a bunch of junk found in the dungeon: keys, rupees, and a pair of flippers (cmon! this dungeon is mocking ALLEN!). Hold up, these flippers are the flippers of bravery! ALLEN stops being a sissy after putting them on and no longer instantly drowns in water!!

Well, another dungeon practically done, and hey, ALLEN never even met the Angler who must have built this Tunnel. Er, unless one of those skulls were his. Well, time for the boss! Huh, just a pool of water. Under the sea, is... oh. THAT sort of Angler. A freaking giant Angler Fish! He moans...

Down here all the fish is happy...
as off through the waves they rollllll....
But the folk on the land ain't happy.
They in for a worser fate........
Today the boss is hungry.....
Guess who's on his plate?

Swirling around with his flippers like mad, dodging snaps from the Angler and his fishy minions, ALLEN lays enough stabbing blows to make that dude into fishsticks. Up on the shore, ALLEN continues into the treasure room. Hey, it's the Surf Harp! Shaka!



Finally out of that grotto, ALLEN visits the local marine life. He learns the song of the sun fish, and can now teleport to a little pond whenever he likes, neat! That Angler Fish had it all wrong, it's awesome up here. Haha, isn't that right, Mr. Ghost? ............AUGH!



Man, the human world is a mess. Get ready for some ghost stories... next time.

Night 6

6:40PM - 8:25PM

ALLEN was very afraid



When we left ALLEN last time, he AUGH! Oh godesses, Mr. Ghost is still with us.. He keeps saying something about how he's sad and he wants to go to his home by the bay. ALLEN tries telling him a joke but Mr. Ghost apologizes because he really isn't in the mood for it right now. That's cool, take your time ghosty. Let's get you home, okay?

Down by the oceanside, they find Mr. Ghost's house. Awesome! They go inside and... yeesh.. I don't think anyone has been inside here for years.. Mr. Ghost is now very sad and filled with nostalgia... ALLEN offers to just lie down on the ground with him and feel like garbage for a bit. They do. Hours pass, days pass, years, millennia... They solve all the problems of the world together, them in that old house by the oceanside. ALLEN no longer has any fears. It's time they went to bring Mr. Ghost to rest.

Into the graveyard went ALLEN and Mr. Ghost. They reached to shake hands, realized they couldn't, and so just smiled and waved. Rest in Peace, Mr. Ghost.

Mr. Ghost had left a parting gift with ALLEN, a seashell, a secret seashell. What's so secret about it? He already has... 1 2 3 4.... 19 of them! This makes 20... Hmm... Perhaps it's time to visit the Seashell Mansion. ALLEN steps inside... The spirit of the Mansion solemnly calls forth the hero and takes the shells. ALLEN hears a faint "Sick, these are some rad shells.." and then a bolt of lightning is cast down in front of him! After the initial shocking blindness fades away, ALLEN sees a magnificent sword's been left in its wake! The Level 2 Sword!!! ALLEN is filled with determination!



The owl had paid yet another visit to ALLEN and told him to go forth into the Catfish's Maw. Now that he has flippers, ALLEN can simply paddle out into the ocean and dive in! No key required, here. For some reason ALLEN is worried that the Catfish will forcefully try to become best friends with him...

Inside the Maw, (and this is really weird... like ALLEN's inside an actually living thing right now??), ALLEN fights some skeleton dude as the dungeon's miniboss, but he runs off before they're done fighting!! This is not a pacifist run, dude! Well, luckily for ALLEN, the treasure is still his. Let's see... It's a... wordsearch? Wait, on the other side is a note... FROM THE MINIBOSS?? He stole the treasure that was ours, what the hell!? ALLEN hunts him down and fights him again, but yet AGAIN he runs off, yelling "Another decisive victory for Stalfos!" as he does so. This is going to take awhile...

When ALLEN finally gets to him and beats him, he gets the Hookshot! Ohhhh yes! This will be most useful for the Nightmare at the end of the Maw... Wait, he went inside from the mouth so as he's been going farther and farther down inside he must be approaching the... yuck. Well, the Slime Eel of the... yuck part of the dungeon is done-in, but as ALLEN defeats him he says ALLEN has no idea what kind of island this is. Oh god, I knew it! ALLEN was destined to crash onto this island and kill polar bears and fight a giant smoke monster... that's what he means, right?

In any case, now ALLEN's got the wind marimbas, too!



Man, ALLEN's come a long way. Not many instruments left! I wonder what the Nightmare meant about this island though? Perhaps we'll find out... next time...

Night 7

11:50PM - 1:25AM

ALLEN gets disillusioned



When we left ALLEN, he was disoriented with the possibility that he may be inside a dream. The Slime Eel Nightmare inside the Catfish's Maw told him so, and that sentence alone may be evidence something strange is happening... ALLEN walks on towards the next objective, something called "The Face Shrine".. Kinda unsettling name. We'll see.

Not too far from the Catfish is a strange valley covered in knight's armor.. some which have something living inside of them! ALLEN crashes his way through a maze of these living suits and into an ancient building of three rooms. The first is the entrance, the second is occupied by a gigantic living suit of armor which upon defeating drops the Face Key, and the third, simply a portrait of the Wind Fish with inscribed text, reading...

TO THE FINDER... THE ISLE OF KOHOLINT, IS BUT AN ILLUSION... HUMAN, MONSTER, SEA, SKY... A SCENE ON THE LID OF A SLEEPER'S EYE... AWAKE THE DREAMER, AND KOHOLINT WILL VANISH MUCH LIKE A BUBBLE ON A NEEDLE... CAST-AWAY, YOU SHOULD KNOW THE TRUTH!

Is it true? Who's telling us to wake up?? We really have to find ALLEN's totem and test it or he might be stuck in limbo forever.

ALLEN travels north to enter the Face Shrine, and does so... inside...

Now I have to be honest with you, reader. Yes, just as ALLEN is becoming disillusioned, so are you. This dungeon was different. It was trying. It hurt. This dungeon was anything but linear, it was a maze of traps and tricks. Some of the trickiest puzzles yet seen were in this dungeon. The item of this dungeon, the Level 2 Bracelet, can only be used in this dungeon. Why? Because it's the god damn Face Shrine. And you gain nothing from the Face Shrine. I thought I had made a mistake when I found a miniboss behind a bomb-wall that the map said would lead to nowhere. The rooms above the miniboss were also not on the map. They also wrapped around and circled into each other, and these rooms had rooms that branched out elsewhere in the dungeon, bringing me outside the Shrine and into the overworld and there were button tricks and levers and switches and some sort of freaking randomized chess pieces that I had to toss over and over and over until they both landed upright. Why would they put such a thing in this game? Only for the Face Shrine. The boss was a face. It told me to tell you everything, everything will be gone, forever, once the Wind Fish awakes.

And once ALLEN slayed the face by clever use of bombs, a passage opened to the Coral Triangle! (isn't that where some planes crashed mysteriously?? LOST, I'm telling you!!)



Tomorrow ALLEN shall rise to the skies, just a stone's throw from the Egg, patiently waiting his arrival...

Night 8

11:00PM - 1:00AM

ALLEN takes flight



ALLEN wonders, where am I to go now? He's been in the forest, the swamp, the valley, the horribly unkempt backyard, the desert, the bay, that horrible shrine... Hasn't he seen it all? Owl says, "NO!"

"You gotta go higher!"

"But I already went higher, remember? To jump into the Angler's Tunnel?"

"Higher!"

"I've already been to the top of the mountain, dude..."

"HIGHER!!"

"I'm not a freakin bird, man, I can't fly!"

And then he laughed and flew away, dropping a sky-poop right beside ALLEN. It kinda looks like the shape of that rooster statue in town... Wait why is he looking at his poop??

On a whim, ALLEN travels back to Mabe Village and visits the Rooster Statue. "dead rooster. do not enter!". ALLEN worries it would be ludicrously immoral to break inside the grave of the great rooster, so he gets the OK from Mr. Ghost first, who tells him it's all cool, just make sure to play him his favorite song in return. ALLEN, using his new super-moxy bracelet, hefts the statue over, and enters the grave (this still feels wrong).

Inside are the bones of the dead rooster. ALLEN doesn't know what he expected. Well, Mr. Ghost said to play his favorite song... the one he learned from the frog Mamu in the signpost maze [citation needed]. So... just gonna... play this jazzy beat for the... dead... bird's bones then.... * skip-it-da-doo-da-bada-boo * Alright I feel weird abo- WHOA! There's a... soul!? Coming towards the bones! After a bright flash warms the room, up springs the Flying Rooster! He's back, baby!!

Now ALLEN's in business! He soars, up, and up! We're flying!! Flitty flitty bird bird, we love you! Our fine blue feathered friend! ALLEN swoops in mountain caves to grab the aptly named Bird Key and then sails east to the very tip of the mountain peak, where an ominous tower stands tall, very tall. The Eagle Tower.

Now this place is quite strange... There are 4 floors, but ALLEN can't get to one of them for some reason. He can fall through the floors to return to lower sections of the tower, but not higher... Hmmm... Well, there's only one solution. Let's knock this place down a level with a giant cannonball. ALLEN - super strong now! - heaves the cannonball around, smashing into four pillars until... CRRRRRR - AAAAGHHHHHHHHH



Holy **** on a **** sandwich! ALLEN's bracelet really does give him super strength! He just knocked the whole place down a notch! With that, ALLEN can reach the previously inaccessible floor and get to the tippy top of the place. Outside waits the Evil Eagle, trying to send ALLEN flying! Hey, rooster, we could use a hand er talon right about now! But ALLEN does it on his own, slashing the winds as well as the mad bird, and claiming the Organ of Evening Calm!



That's seven instruments down. ALLEN's only got one left! Let's do this thing!!!! TOMORROW!!!!

Night 9

11:25PM - 12:50AM

ALLEN's on fire



ALLEN's ready for anything and rearing to go, but where?? Well, it looks like there's only one place on the whole map he hasn't seen yet, the Northwest Corner. Maybe it's snowy and cold there! Haven't seen an icy region yet, looking forward to this!

On the way up, ALLEN meets Marin, somehow trapped up on the bridge. No problem, ALLEN to your rescue baby! He smoothly spidermans past her with the hookshot, grabbing her along the way. Then she says, "ALLEN... there's something I always wanted to tell you. Up here, with this beautiful view in front of us, I think it's finally time to tell you that I-"



"YOOOO ALLEN WASSUP!" It's Talin, cockblocker extraordinaire. "HEY LET"S GO DO SOMETHING MALIN IDK WHAT THO LOL" and then they run away together. The owl comes by to tell us Malin tried to wake up the Wind Fish... huh?? If she knows that that would end the dream and make us all disappear like the Nightmares have very subtlety been repeating to us since the start of the journey... Is Malin trying to escape the Island? Live together, die alone...

ALLEN continues across the mountaintops, and finds new entry: just past a jet of flames! His mirror shield does the trick, and on the other side he finds a turtle encased in stone. Yo! Mr. Turtle! Wake up! .... Someone needs a little wake up song. ALLEN blasts out the beat to the Frog's Song of Soul, but it's so atrocious the Turtle cracks out of his encasement just to start biting at ALLEN! Uh-uh Mr. Turtle, ain't gonna take none of that. Then ALLEN legit decapitates the turtle and walks straight inside it's severed neck. SAVAGE!

Inside, whoa! This place is yuuuuge! We got your flying devils, your minibosses from previous dungeons, your tricky new brand of puzzles, we even go back outside to the overworld! But it's hot, so hot, where's the ice?? This turtle has been eating too much Indian food man... Also, where's the item? ALLEN wants his cool new item! He steps into the miniboss room: in the clearing stands a boxer and a fighter by his trade. ALLEN cuts him down and he cried out in his anger and his shame, "I am leaving! I am leaving... but the fighter still remains".. Blaino's a deep guy.

And there it is! The chest with the item in it... It's just.. behind a switch barrier? But ALLEN hasn't seen a single switch inside this huge place. That means... he missed it. Oh boy.

Half an hour of retracing his steps later... ALLEN finds the hidden wall that hid the switch, just the switch and nothing else. Cmon man, who dreamt this dungeon up?? Well, now ALLEN can get his final item: The Magic Rod! Ohhhh yeah! BURN BURN BURN!!! ... I mean, mm, cool.

Well, while approaching the Nightmare, ALLEN finds his ice: 2 rooms with ice blocks to melt. Woefully underutilized obstacle, much?? If, for say, ALLEN was in another world where his house was converted into a shop where he could have rented this rod from the start of his journey, perhaps it could have found more purpose... but why would any journey be like that? Ridiculous nonsense.

And into the boss chamber! We have a fire shooting rod, so it's gotta be a... ball of fire? ALLEN dispatches the fire with fire, is told that Koholint Island is a dream yada yada and bam! There it is! Instrument numero eighto! The Thunder Drum!



This journey is at its height! ALLEN's full items, full hearts, fully prepared! Beat the war drums! We're going to wake up that egg, tomorrow night!!!

Night 10 - FINALE

10:50pm - 11:10pm

ALLEN awakens



So, here we are. All eight Nightmares destroyed, all eight instruments collected. It's time to wake up the Wind Fish.

First, ALLEN revisits Mabe village, one last time. He visits the library that holds all the information of Koholint Island in volumes of books. One very special book requires a lens to read it... I think we've got just the thing.

A code? It seems to be a list of directions... ALLEN devotes them to memory and heads out. But, beneath the Rooster's Statue stands Marin. She confesses that she made a wish to the Wind Fish... but it's a secret what that wish is. She knows ALLEN's leaving, and tells him to never forget her. Aww.

ALLEN rests at the steps of Mount Tamaranch, and gazes heavenward. At the top sits a giant speckled egg, one that has been sitting there for eternity. ALLEN climbs the stairway, and using his ocarina begins the song Marin had taught him ages ago, The Ballad of the Wind Fish. The other instruments join in in a fantastic chorus of mixing melodies and rushing emotion! Suddenly, Koholint Island starts shaking, and the egg hums to life. An entrance has been shattered from the eggshell! From the skies descends an old friend, Mr. Owl. "It's time... enter the egg, ALLEN!"

Inside the mysterious egg... Is a solemn darkness. There are unlit lamps sitting about the cavern. ALLEN walks over to one, but, AGH! Below is an abyss! He falls, falls, falls..... And lands. In a blank passageway with four directions. He moves forward. An identical passageway! He runs left, right, forward, reverse, endlessly, for a very long time... it's an endless corridor... What is ALLEN to do? Wait, the code!!! Despite traveling miles in either direction, a set of movements brings him to a room he has never seen before. In it is only a pit. ALLEN jumps in!

A darkness... and then an eye. It peers out from the shadows, and announces its presence.

We were born of nightmares... To take over this world, we made the Wind Fish sleep endlessly! If the Wind Fish doesn't wake up, this island will never disappear! We would have been masters of this place... But you had to come here and disrupt our plans! Heh heh! You can never defeat us!!! Let's rumble!

Yes, let's! The demon reveals itself... a giant smoke monster. I KNEW IT ALL ALONG! TOLD YOU! THIS IS LOST! ...ahem. ALLEN fights through the shadows, eerily familiar shadow forms of enemies he has seen before, somehow... An evil warlock... a powerful hog-like beast... and... Dethl. It swings its two appendages around the room in a mad game of jump rope as ALLEN takes aim with his bow at its giant eye. Again and again and again ALLEN lands his shots, but Dethl won't succumb! ALLEN is dying! One last shot.... And it is done. Dethl is dead.

This island is going to dis-appear... Our world is going to
disappear... Our world... Our... world...

A set of stairs appears in front of ALLEN, beckoning him forth. He climbs again, this time, to the stars!

Waiting at the top, it's Mr. Owl! But Mr. Owl has someone else for us to meet... The Wind Fish.



The Wind Fish imparts on us that he was sealed in slumber by the Nightmares, but now that he is cured... together, they can awaken. ALLEN opens his eyes.

At sea, a young traveler awakes amidst the wreckage of ship. In front of him, a vision... a fading vision. Was it an island?



He's dazed... Was that all but a dream? No, he remembers... ALLEN remembers.......someone....
