I hate to admit it because he's been really annoying as a character since MK4, but Liu Kang is probably still my all time favorite. hard to say "best" because of story annoyances, but I like the thought of Bruce Lee in another dimension launching fireballs at a tyrannical maniac holding a giant hammer. Fei Long and Forest Law are two characters I'd love to see fight each other. Hitmonlee is probably my favorite non-fire Pokemon, lol. literally two Pokemon named after Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee. --- Never let those intent on misunderstanding you be the narrator to your story! Liu Kang is the only one who I feel really managed to transcend the whole "Bruce Lee knockoff" thing. He started off pretty generic, but he feels like his own character now.
